The people in charge of the system, and those in charge of overseeing those in charge, are responsible. For the most part, China bought some trains and tracks then reverse engineered them before copying all over the country. It's not a Swedish or Japanese design fault. Meanwhile, blame has been passed to the engineering center in China that designed the circuit. Total bullshit.

One more thing. A Chinese family I know told me recently that there have been several incidents that never made it into the news.

Umm, buying an Apple machine isn't exactly making a decision based upon value, but you're making a value comparison. As for speed, sure, there are some tasks where AMD's architecture will work better, and like you said, you can optimize for either. For most users, the Intel architecture is just superior for price/performance. In some cases, AMD is better, usually when you're looking for value in highly parallel tasks, but not outright speed. Intel is loafing along, not pushing their market dominance, waiting for AMD to launch their next generation. Then you will see a big jump in Intel's speed.

I'm a former Macintosh worshiper. I subscribed to Guy Kawasaki's email list when he was an official Mac evangelist. I have bought, sold, installed, repaired, played with, tweaked, upgraded, and done just about everything else to a Macintosh from System 6 through OSX. I loved the superior quality, excellent interface, and freedom to play. I loved the sheer geekiness of being a Macintosh person, not a PC person.

Then Apple opened their stores, squeezed out the independents, and began creating tied-down, lowest-common-denominator devices that were more style than substance. To quote Lester Bangs, Apple turned computers into an "industry of cool."

Screw Apple, screw the Macintosh, screw the iPhone, screw the iPad, and most of all, screw Steve Jobs. Screw the walled garden. Screw the NY Post. Screw them all. Give me tweakable, fun, unrestricted technology or get the fuck out of my face.

You started with the ad hominem. What's your argument? You criticize everyone equally? Pratically impossible, and definitely stupid if it's true. Anyone sensible will save their criticisms for when truly deserved, and in that neighborhood and in this world, Israel IS THE MOST MORAL ARMY POSSIBLE. That Israelis are brutal? Brutal is firing a laser-guided missile at a school bus, murdering a child, then giving out candy in the street to celebrate the "victory". Brutal is what's happening in Syria. The opposite of brutal, building a fence to reduce the need for confrontation, precision targeting, and encouraging economic ties, are the methods of Israel. You, however, don't care much about those things. You see self-protection as aggression and aggression as "resistance" to aggression. It's the world on its head. Troll.

Anyone who denies the strong connection between antisemitism and exceptional criticism of Israel is a fool or a liar. How many times a year do you have critical thoughts towards Israel? How about Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, China, and Pakistan. Now put those in order of severity of human rights abuses. Put them in order of amount of freedom and respect for other cultures. Put them in order of standard of living of their most downtrodden groups. Israel will come out like roses on all those lists, as the absolute best on each one. However, I'm absolutely sure that Israel doesn't come out the best on your list of negative thoughts. It might even come out worst. It certainly seems to for this Sydney group of Jew-haters. Why might that be?

These Jew-haters are all twisted and sick, especially the Jewish ones. History is filled with these "good Jews." Soros is one of them. Usually they're just undereducated leftists who get some blind blood lust when they see an underdog.

Israel has had to deal with militarily capable Muslims since its inception. The history is clear - militarily capable Muslims desperately try to kill all thew Jews. Jews have had to deal with militarily capable Muslims since the Muslim colonists arrived. Jews have been in the area for thousands of years; they're not colonists. The Muslims are a recent arrival, relatively speaking. The Palestinians are a recently made-up people, most of whose ancestors arrived from other parts of the region over the past couple hundred years. Israel without the Jews has been a relatively barren place, shunned by Muslims as long as there aren't any Jews to kick out or subjugate.

Your understanding of the whole history is upside-down, backwards, reversed, inside-out, and hilariously ignorant. Your understanding of Muslims with weapons having peaceful intentions is laughable. Are Hezbolah and Hamas stockpiling rockets and mortars for peace? They fire indiscriminately at Israel, dancing in the streets when a Jew gets killed.

So you watch the military build up, nod your head approvingly and sagely, and smile, all the while knowing that it means dead Jews.
