I think you missed the GP's point entirely, there are tons of locked-down "toy computer" phones out there, the N900 was a handheld PC that you could run anything you want on.
At least this should serve as a warning to those who trust such a shitstain company as Zynga, the biggest bastards in the gaming industry (to their own employees at least...Ubisoft and Nintendo may be worse to customers).
the saying is: a fool and his money are soon parted
Libertarian spotted. This is the idea Ayn Rand used to lazily gloss over the issue of inherited wealth, detailed in about as many words. Perversely, many people think this is a Bible quote.
To be fair, Donald Trump, Paris Hilton, Rupert Murdoch and the Jersey Shore cast weren't around at the time.
Specifically the ones shown in the episode "Poker Face" where the entire last leg section was a tank tread (vs most tachikomas which use wheels on the end of the legs).
if you were circumcised and can't feel pleasure from your penis then something went horribly, horribly wrong with the procedure. That's definitely not normal. I'm circumcised so I know what I'm talking about.
...when desktop PCs will be locked down as tight as iOS toys. People thought RMS was nuts when he foretold it in Right to Read, people thought I was being paranoid when I warned it was imminent a few years ago. And now it's on our doorstep and when our current computers are no longer usable for whatever reason we'll be forced to open the door, so every idiot who bought or recommended a curated computing device leading up to this, please take a look through the peephole at the harbinger of the end of open computing while I say I Told You So.
If I make an encrypted container and upload it, then mount it on my local machine, please tell me how that will be accessible to anyone else (any more than a local encrypted container).
And furthermore, making PC gaming easier is a very bad thing. When you make something easy the masses get access to it and RUIN IT (See: smartphones, pre and post curation). Keep them off. They have consoles already.
Well consider this, what if someone with a UAV, whether a cop or just "some dude," illegally records illegal activity with a UAV and anonymously leaks it to the media or police directly?
Notice that in every case the fear part boils down to a problem of closed-source software working against the user (except cell phone tower-based tracking. Even "cloud" data can be private.)

I think McDonald's already sells them :-P
Bitter? Maybe. Fatty? No.
See the 3DS EULA and remote bricking.

Which unfortunately, only geeks listen to.
Everyone else thinks "bla bla bla, I just wanna buy my iShiny!"
Where can I get it?
A radical far-left marxist? Soros crashed the British economy to make his fortune, that's pretty damn capitalist.
If you guys have to choose a Dark Lord of the Left, can it be Michael Moore? Because at least he's actually leftist and it would be way funnier.

What's so wrong with a metal spider on tank treads anyway? If anyone doesn't want a tachikoma I'll gladly take it off their hands.

Yep the rest of the world only stopped with the eugenics, forced sterilizations and routine lobotomies because Hitler made them uncool.

We should just settle this once and for all and call him "Crazy Stubble Mustache"
Yeah we all know governments prefer to fund bad-news-tastic climate science over nationalistic dick-waving.

Wait, there are places where you can get non-laughable upload speeds without paying for a "business" connection at 10x+ the cost?
THIS

Wow what a bunch of shitsacks, I hope they get their asses fined off.
Unfortunately like just about every positive use of drones, it's not a profitable one. Who's going to pay for drone-enforced environmental laws?
In related news, if Mother Jones wants a new graphics guy, they can send me an email.
