People will pass a basic test to vote. Those that don't vote will pay a small tax. Those that do vote will receive a small credit. People want to act like idiots, we'll put the dots close together for a couple generations until they get the hint.
Testing has caused a shitstorm every time. And then after proposing this, you want to reward people for voting even if they don't give a shit? What could possibly go wrong?
This is why I hope he's found insane, and I think it's lulztastic that the terrorist organization he claims exists and has made a uniform for is basically just himself.
So all religions are simultaneously true, global warming is a grand international conspiracy, evolution is a hoax, the moon landing was a hoax, Obama is a Muslim born in Kenya, the world is a flat disc with an ice wall...
I dunno, Atlas Shrugged doesn't dissuade people from becoming libertarians...I dare anyone to say that it isn't a horribly written egowankfest. Say it with a straight face.
Your implied claim that only the rich and politically connected would have access to life extension techniques is dishonest leftist demagoguery (but I repeat myself).
How is this? If it's an expensive elective procedure then how will people who can't afford it get access to it unless it's provided by some kind of universal health care system (and no such system that exists today covers elective procedures)?
Came here to mention this. It will also have serious implications for population control and doesn't play nice with capitalism. The movie In Time wasn't a serious sci-fi flick but it presents a plausible scenario.
Kept me out this year, there was a lot of interesting stuff I really wanted to do. The real dealbreaker was the electronics seizures, I'd probably suffer the same fate as Moxie Marlinspike. And that's assuming I wouldn't be carted off to Gitmo - which I wouldn't assume if I had a middle-eastern name.
Well others have pointed out that AGW typically means Anthropogenic Global Warming...and BTW the term Climate Change was actually a term forced on NASA by the Bush Jr. administration.
There are no alternative power sources? Better not tell all those countries using nuclear and renewable...oh but wait because the nuttiest eco-kooks have a problem with all energy sources that means they're not a real option while what's currently in place is, the theme that keeps coming up in this discussion.
Jeez I think I have to go back to my old sig reminding people that humor exists.
Arrest the un-American terrorist-supporter!
He's not big on gay rights either. Liberty!
That's the Republicans.
Or Douche vs. Turd if you prefer.

The throw little bones your way, called things like a "Ron Paul" or a "Democratic Alternative"
Or "Campaign Trail Obama"
I'd say CISPA was just legalizing it after the fact.

Hell, I'll give you 10. If you fall on the ground you lose your remaining tries though.

No I'm pretty confident GP was correct.
If a German politician wants to end a discussion quickly he will just mention that the Nazis did it that way.
The German version of "Think of the children/what about terrorists"
Huh, and I'd heard the first chapter or two was the only part worth reading (before the Jew-hate starts).

I think you mean a cybercool cyberpost.
I'd say it would have been correct behavioral profiling to go after the guy in the hoodie.

Yeah I think a bladed weapon or cudgel would be safer...
Now, hands up who volunteers to be the first one to get to the hijacker, more than likely to be mortally wounded, so that the rest may live.
I'd do it if I was on the plane. Better to get up and take a shot at surviving than to remain seated and certainly die.
The fringe enviro-kooks also hate all the power sources currently in use, and yet we continue to use them...
Pretty sure I used the right word. Isn't this where scrap metal is made into new ingots?
