Why can't the jets have an on-board radar that detects the birds when they ahead?
It could alert pilots and perhaps even cause a computer to evade.
Especially if the radar/computer system can compute bird trajectories.
I got out of a marriage because my ex and her kid were stinking up the house with marijuana.
Not that the law about drugs made a lot of difference but if it were legal, then I would be the odd one out just because of my preferences. But because it's illegal at least I have that on my side in their campaign that I needed to "get with it".
I think it's a great idea to build a tethered station. I guess if they want to do rocket launches up there, they could bring all the parts up the elevator to the neutral point where there's no gravity and just store all the stuff floating around at that height (so it will not load the tether.)
Once they have all the stuff there, they could just assemble and launch.
I agree with your point about having Ubuntu boxes beside the Windose boxes but the problem is that codecs isn't the only thing missing.
I have a ubuntu on a laptop and it I need to figure out how to make the wireless work. Also the sound doesn't work on two of my laptops with ubuntu.
Not that I dislike ubuntu but there's more to life than codecs.
Mr. Gates was probably wanting to visit so that he could collect a large sum of money that he learned about in an email. There's so much money there that there are people just dying to smuggle money out of country.
But a Windmill doesn't slow down the Wind much..

I feel privileged to be allowed to run more than three applications.

Antitrust? The government is a monopoly. :)
