I realize the message of what you say, but consider this. What's popular with the "Sheeple" is pretty different that what's popular with the kind of person that would be using freenet. Well, that is unless Ian's dream is fully realized, and it does become huge. However, I doubt this will happen. It will probably remain "underground" for quite some time.

What?! As a geek I can say that I hate programs that are just not good looking. Of course, if it is functional, I will still use it, but if possible, I theme just about everything. This guy doesn't really know what he is talking about. Why don't I use Windows? Because it is fugly!
I'v found that programming in the binary directly works very well. It may take a little longer, but you've only got two keys to press, so that makes it a bit easier. You'd be surprised how quickly you get used to it, I can now communicate exclusively in binary. Conversations are hella-long, but it's good when you don't want to be understood ]:-)
