One of the web sites I run is an eToys Affiliate Partner, meaning I can sell eToys products off of the site. I am now going to cancel my Affiliate Partnership and I'll be including this as my reason for cancellation.
I hope other sites will do the same, 'cause, this is totally rediculous. - dpk
Yeah. I don't buy many CDs a year, but I bought 4 CDs after I 'previewed' them by listening to the mp3s. I could have done the same thing by asking my friend if I could borrow the CDs he/she got the songs from, but downloading the mp3s (from a non-public site, fwiw) was easier.
'course, that's the entire issue surrounding mp3: It's very, very easy to pirate, especially when compared to tape recorders, CD-R, etc. - dpk
Just curious if anyone has worked with the disk arrays made by Dynamic Network Factory (or any similar products by other manufacturers?)
They say they use Ultra DMA drives, and connect to your machine via SCSI. Seems like a good way to put the I in RAID - assuming the product is as good as it looks.
It might amuse y'all to know that there was, and probably still is, a Scientology office within walking distance of MS main campus in Bellevue, WA... both would appear to be profit-motivated, but only one admits it. The Scientology office is still there, I just passed it the other day. I wonder how many MS people they recruit in a day.
