Check out Slashdot userid: homelessinlajolla. This is one geek who can't do this. So how can you afford a place and internet access (and electricity to power it). Not to mention some food to power you.
A different password works fine for Joe User and his gadgets, but he won't care about logging into the access point anyway. It could be to default to physical only for admin access, but that would be a problem for admins who don't have cables handy.
Would it kill them to generate a random password and put it on the router? I love how you can muck with their settings remotely. Lock them out so you have more bandwidth!
If someone connects from far away or with a DS, won't it lower the bandwidth for everyone? I think the.n spec has a way around it. Some routers can operate at multiple speeds, or at least switch off the lower ones (just don't use your DS).
Tolerances will be an issue. I vaguely remember hearing about some problems using an older cable. I could even imagine the factories binning out to USB 1 cables that didn't pan out.
Ethernet has a much different usage scenario, though. USB could break from the past to all-optical, or even multi-lane. Too many kludges around, but I don't see ethernet and USB coming from the same port.
Moving your head and having the picture stay still will probably be quite nauseating. They need head tracking built in, which means it can't be automatically integrated into games. Same for 3d movies--this is the main distraction when I watch them. Maybe a head brace will solve all this?
I'm just curious. I know that the 128-bits are not meant to be densely filled, but surely somewhat thought of 64 bits before 128 was settled on. Given the same principle of sparse assignment, will 256 be far off?
I'm a subscriber, so maybe I'll get a break here. I've been seeing this link around slashdot for awhile. I'm curious if it is a robot that can manage to do somewhat relevant garbage around the link. Of course, could be some drone who doesn't even know English very well.
First of all--this is great news. We need breaks from the past like this. Maybe we'll see computers natively handle 128-bit words. UUIDs are already there. I'm sure the custom networking hardware already has it down, but this could be something that drives it. 128-bits seems like overkill for addressing, but it could be put to use as well.
So what charity gets the money? Is it the usual suspects--sick kids and Africa? Why not the EFF, or FSF? Why not Wikipedia? It seems that often a charity needs to be identified in order to get rid of money. ThinkOfTheChildren usually results.
An interesting and related question is how the laws can be tweaked, yet still conform to the anthropic principle. One could imagine a smaller universe, where the sentients would not be so spread out. Play with the equations, and run simulations. The neuroscientists will have to get involved once we understand sentience more.
I think Pudge personally modded this, and other pro-religion, comments up. Down-modded the other side. Oh, and Pudge, I'm a subscriber. K, thx, bye.

Modafinil and a successor give a caffeine-like boost without the crash. In all, it can reduce your need to sleep.
I work in the packaged-software business, and I'd still rather it be called copyright infringement. Words mean things.

You'll mostly get advice to improve people skills--the technical stuff is just as important.

At digg, it's even a running joke how nerds like atheism and marijuana.
We'd vote Republican if it weren't for the whole religion thing (which ultimately leads to the drug thing). Simple as that.
If Ron Paul had been an atheist, we would be all over him even more.
It has to be said. Bits don't care. They are laughing at all our legal wrangling.

Tag. I thought that kosher stuff wasn't explicitly removed in the fairy tale, but just isn't followed anymore by custom.
Native 24Hz on both the player and TV are out now. Sony advertises this feature.
Displayport can't handle the bandwidth at this resolution, but it would be nice. Some LCD TVs do 120Hz, but only through internal interpolation.

It could just reverse lookup google's IPv6, and then go through IPv4.

Esperanto, for one, makes a perfect study for researchers. Your brush is too broad. Your cynicism and jadedness are disappointing.
