  1. Right and wrong is what society deems to be morally acceptable. Just a decade ago it was wrong for two gay people to get married. 50 years ago it was wrong for African-Americans to be treated as equal. See where we're going with this? Patreon is a private business and has the right to dictate what content is distributed on their network. That's the proper reason for removing content creators that don't abide by their rules. Not because "Omgherd nudity and pornography is wrong."

  2. Maybe it'll send a message to employers.. on Ask Slashdot: Have You Ever 'Ghosted' an Employer? (linkedin.com) · · Score: 5, Insightful

For a long time it's been perfectly professional and okay for a potential employer to just 'ghost' potential canidates. They'll never return a phone call or email if they're not interested in you or if they change their mind halfway through the interview process because they found a better canidate. You have to practically harass them to know what's going on. This is super common in the tech world. But when a potential employee does it? "That's unprofessional." - Bullshit i say. This isn't the '80s anymore where skilled laborers are interchangeable.

  3. A Chinese company suing for patent infringement? on Xiaomi Sued For Alleged Patent Infringement Ahead of Blockbuster IPO (reuters.com) · · Score: 4, Insightful

A new level of hypocrisy for China. The Chinese gov't makes it nearly impossible for any other company in another country to sue a Chinese based company for patent infringement.

  4. Where will all of our politicians go for reviews on escorts? Trolling the corner for hookers? No, Never. Right? https://www.ranker.com/list/po...

  5. CTS Labs only registered their domain (cts-labs.com) 6 months ago. They registered amdflaws.com 2018-02-22. So they spent time tweaking the marketing material. This is nothing but a new company trying to make a name for themselves and have instead pissed off true security researchers by not following responsible disclosure. From CTS' own site: "Due to the sensitive nature of security vulnerabilities, we usually work under strict mutual NDAs with our customers to ensure maximum safety and privacy". ... Horseshit.

  7. Didn't know DNA could cause an outage on Wikipedia Explains Today's Global Outage · · Score: 0, Redundant

When did we start using DNA to resolve domain names? I mean we can fit a butt-load of information in a DNA strand but I think the overhead would be too high for DNS resolutions. (Should be DNS)
