This. I can't see my tabs when I'm on remote desktop because the remote desktop bar covers the tabs completely. I can't maximize the window. This is a pointless decision. Give us options!
If this were the case, they should be calling schools places that condition future workers of america to submit to busy work, not places of education.
My interest in school was learning the material. If I fail to do so with un-enforced homework, then I fail. However, if I learn the material and find no reason for busy work, that should be my prerogative- giving me an opportunity to use my time refining other skills. As it was, I liked spending my afternoons after school teaching myself programming (my highschool did not offer programming classes).
As an owner of the Acer Iconia A100, I can say safely that this is a good contender for a 7" tablet. It's Tegra 2 dual core with 1gb of DDR2. It screams with android.
One of the problems I've had with the knock-off tablets is that nothing was as responsive as the touchscreen on ipads. The Iconia definitely fixes this. The transformer and the new transformer due out soon look really interesting, but they've priced themselves out of the market in my opinion.
Seriously, I was an unchallenged child in school. I got horrible grades because I didn't find any use in homework. I always aced the tests because I knew the material well, but saw no value in wasting my time on homework. I would regularly get Cs and Ds because homework was weighed heavily in deciding the grade. At no point was my actual grasp on the material considered.
That being said, the kids who didn't learn the material well, but did a lot of busy work at home usually passed as well with similar grades. It was a system that benefited nobody.
Amazon wants to make sure EVERY competitor has the same disadvantage no matter what state they're in, so they figure, if we're doing taxes anywhere, let's make sure everybody else gets disadvantaged.
What makes this so incredible isn't that light might take longer to pulse a certain distance at a certain speed, it's that from different frames of reference, we actually observe it differently.
The man on the ground sees a pulse of light on a plane travel a considerably longer distance than the man on the plane. Because of the fixed speed of light from both frames of reference, both experience the event take different amounts of time.
Ah yes, I suppose what I was thinking was accelerating mass to the speed of light. As an object approaches the speed of light, the mass increases, which in turn would require more energy.
But a compression wave isn't the same as accelerating an object to the speed of light. So.. I need more coffee.
You see, the sublaxitives get all built up in the stars, that's what we're made up of. So you must release these through the generous art of chiropractification.
Hey bob, did I get it right?
People love witch hunting. The marketing trend profits off that greatly, in fact. How often are big-box food distributors blamed for being "all artificial" which is synonymous with "bad for you?" I just saw a cheese-it commercial touting how they use REAL cheese, instead of artificial cheese. Does anybody know how we make cheese? It's already a damn process for christ's sake!
There are things that are bad for us (transfats), and then there are ghosts (this wasn't grown organically, it contains boogeymen chemicals!)... same goes with the sensitivities. It's all part of our anti-rational history!
Well, you're on target, but in the wrong scale- You're right, survival of the fittest has slowed considerably, thanks to modern medicine, genes that wouldn't usually be considered viable are able to survive long enough to breed (propagate).
But Weaker ? Maybe in the long run as a species, now that we're able to increase survival rate, that signifies that our evolution has taken to a more social level. As a society- we're much stronger.
Either way, evolution of certain traits can take thousands/millions of years. I don't think the amount of time we've had modern medicine has done much to evolution yet.
Escape the radio waves! Go to the place that has nothing but some high tech telescopes! There's no radio waves here! Wait.. what's that? The telescopes are detecting radio waves from space? Quick!! ESCAPE REALITY!
+1 to this. I have a lot of internet connected devices in my house. 4 Squeezeboxes that use Rhapsody, 2 Rokus streaming hidef, and when my friends are over, usually 3 or 4 computers running. It's not about one computer, it's about a bunch.
That being said, I've never noticed a slow down on my 18 mbps

I thought the same thing, glad to know i'm not the only one with android on the mind ! :D

I almost choked on lunch. Kudos to you sir.
There isn't a single two dimensional plane that runs parallel to the earth in the third dimension.

If I understand this properly, It would require infinite energy to achieve.
It's hardly an original idea, but I think I can execute it better.
This is a great quote. I like it. I'm going to repost it in a place where it gets far more notoriety though.
This. There would be no confusion, i'm certain they would've attempted this to double check.

If prayer works, do it yourself.
Requiring belief in something that has no objective evidence is pretty much anti-science.

Do you think we're all just stroking our own egos here? I'm sorry for ejaculating like this but to me this is a serious tissue.
