My office has an exercise room, but no showers so no one uses it otherwise they will be sweaty all day. (I think one person uses it at the end of their shift on the way home)
You're kidding yourself if you think manufacturing done locally will somehow not cut corners and be more cost efficient when compared to possible litigation.
> Why should PC game companies keep pushing the spec envelope when their cash cow of xbox games can't play those games?
exactly... The SW is simply not demanding cutting edge HW, because it's written for stuff released years ago. In terms of pushing the envelope, consoles are holding back PC gaming for anything cross platform.
Also while I know some branches of Christianity are opposed to things like blood transfusions, I have never heard of one being against vaccines or other injections.
Is there a denomination that actually believes this or, is she just using her religion to shield her anti-vaxx beliefs?
Have you ever used your eyes? They aren't perfect and can give incorrect readings (like if you're in any way distracted, out of focus, or a million other things)
Exactly, it'll do as it's programmed. If there is a conflict then either the programming is bad or the law is in error. Really this seems more like a "budget" issue for the states that have become to rely on ticket revenues.
But realistically wont a robot be far better at staying safe then a human would be?
Human gets distracted and runs a light causing an accident. With a robot you wont need to worry about is being distracted, or misjudging a distance, etc...
No... it's C&U that someone is convicted, served their time and pays any fines; then are constantly hounded for the rest of their lives, even when trying to engage in perfectly legal activities.
It'd be on the scale of, you being in a drunk driving accident, and then not being allowed to purchase a car every again.
Well the definition is just so broad, that pretty much any exposure or sexual twist to a crime can get you added. And if they challenge it then they are accused of being soft on child rapists and the like.
I do have to wonder if this will every be challenged as "Cruel and unusual".
They paid their time, if they were to be punished more throw them back behind bars, otherwise stop actively harassing them. Realistically they probably would have gotten off easier had they just committed a good ol' fashioned murder.
Or had a piss behind a dumpster after drinking one night.
It's stupidly easy to get on the list, realistically it's so watered down that it does not really mean anything useful. I looked up the ones near me once and something like half were for BS reasons.
I use various kinds of carpentry tools and yes they can be very dangerous if you don't use caution. Pisses me off seeing people being cavalier about safety when working with something dangerous like a saw, or electricity.
Or worse when they blame the tool because they decided to disregard the various safety features and put their thumb in the path of the blade.
Yep, we've been paying for these upgrades since Clinton but haven't seen a damn thing really.
The upgrades are always too expensive and they don't have the money, so WTF have them been doing with all those service fees for the past couple decade?
They need to be held accountable, give us the upgrades or give us the money.
Not just time, they have been getting tax breaks and additional fees since the 90's with the express purpose of investing and upgrading the nation's network infrastructural.
Yea, BO/sweat is an issue.

Yea, "exist" in terms of SCO existing... But no one would say they are thriving.

You realize Steam is itself a DRM platform?
Granted it's DRM done right, and is for the most part not a headache like other schemes, but ultimately it restricts your use of the games.

Yea, my last computer lasted some 4 years without needing an upgrade.
Granted I usually try to max it out, when I buy it initially.
Also while I know some branches of Christianity are opposed to things like blood transfusions, I have never heard of one being against vaccines or other injections.
Is there a denomination that actually believes this or, is she just using her religion to shield her anti-vaxx beliefs?
And I'll then just avoid companies who license and make use of this technology.
Considering the current state of gaming, and the rise of the Indie Dev, I now have more options then ever for gaming.
A shame since I often find myself going back and playing older games from 10+ years ago.
Many times the companies who made them are long since gone.
I guess "Retro Gaming" is going to be redefined as playing last years Madden or CoD.

I'm not on it, I looked up the ones near me. They have to register and you can lookup their info and some basic case details.
No... it's C&U that someone is convicted, served their time and pays any fines; then are constantly hounded for the rest of their lives, even when trying to engage in perfectly legal activities.

More like, what good is a list to protect kids if it's populated by people who are of no threat, and never have been?

Could not agree more...

Or you know... Judge Dredd

Yea, I can't see that getting through the Corp Filters/Marketing for a company like Nokia, unless it's a Google translate.
Not just time, they have been getting tax breaks and additional fees since the 90's with the express purpose of investing and upgrading the nation's network infrastructural.
So how far do you take it?
If I am doing carpentry and fall off a ladder and need to go see a doctor and not be able to make it in, is that too an abused sick day?
Both are personal choices.
Could I use one of my sick hours to leave early?
What's the point of having them if i am penalized either way?
