Now, it begs to question, will SP3 for Xp have this same new random number generator with backdoor?
Anyway, its obvious the moron teaching the class should not have been teaching the class if he in this day and age did NOT know what fire fox is. Computer class teachers should be knowledgeable about what they are teaching to their students, not just teaching from the MS book of business economics.
I was 16 at the time (this was back in 89 or so), and was in the computer class. Back in the day it was just computers 1 & 2. Anyway, this nameless teacher had given everyone the assignment of writing some basic thing to put some stuff on the screen and what not. Well, I was 1st done, about 10 minutes in. Now I couldn't turn my work in until everyone else was done. So rather then twiddle my thumbs for the next 30 minutes, I opted to work on some other stuff I had brought from home. It was just some piddly screen savers I had been working on, and hell my assignment for the day was done already, it was not my fault the rest of the class had problems with the stuff, and I was only in there for the class credits. Hell I was 16 and could have taught the damn class.
Needless to say I was suspended from school for 5 days and he banned me from all of his classes because I was working on non school related stuff, even though my work was done, printed out, saved to disk and ready to turn in.
Needless to say the guy was a complete ass hat who didnt need to be teaching kids. They in turn made in principal and then superintendent of the school system.
I used win98 until late 2004 or so when I upgraded to XP. I was glad I waited, my XP experience has been great since. Have a laptop with an oem xp, and 2 desktops with 2 win xp cds. Ati had to stop making win 98 SE video drivers for me to want to upgrade.
Now that XP SP3 is coming out, I cannot wait.
I wont even dwell on messing up my working computers and moving to Vista until SP2 Vista has been out for at least 6 months to a year. My buddy next door made the mistake of getting a laptop with vista on it (after I told him not to get vista), he has had nothing but bad luck and mis fortune with it since he got it. Of course he asks me for help with it, and I am like, sorry, never touched Vista, so I don't know, I suggested he upgrade to Xp, so he wiped vista off of it and went back to using XP Pro.
I don't even feel sorry for MS, they brought it on them selves. Maybe if they understood what people wanted out of an OS, they could make some headway. Instead they are more interested in invading every other market for monopoly purposes instead of paying attention to their original monopoly they lost.
I for one would like to welcome our new gaming overlords.
Some of the forums I visited listed this, but I figured it was a farce until I saw it here, now, I may go back to bed. Most of the gaming devs in various other games and genres would learn alot of blizzard. I loathe playing pay to play beta's for half finished games. Not that the release of WoW was not a pay to play beta. EA on the other hand, doesnt seem to care for their customers concerns, and just releases the games any way.
World of Duty, Call of Warcraft.
Me, I wanna play Medal of Homer.
