    Road damage is dictated by tire pressure. Yes Semi's have higher tire pressure than Prii, but Prii often run higher pressure than SUV's and other passenger vehicles.

    Road damage from vehicles is entirely dictated by tire pressure. Many Prius driver are inflating their tires to at least 40psi for lower rolling resistance. That causes more road damage than a Chevy Suburban with tires inflated to 36psi. Tractor trailers are another matter with tire pressures often at 90psi.

    How maneuverable do you think an object traveling at 5328mph can be without scrubbing lots of speed?

    It takes more than a minute for a projectile traveling at mach 7 to travel 100 miles. Plenty of time.

    Traveling at Mach 7, it takes more than a minute for a projectile to travel 100 miles. Plenty of time to dodge. Radar can detect the projectile as soon as it appears over the horizon. Depending on altitute, that could be as soon as it's fired.

    Unless of course you do things like pardon, on your last day in office, an international financier and hedge fund manager who was indicted for making oil deals with Iran during the hostage crisis and tax evasion and who happens to give vast sums of money to your wife's senate campaign and your presidential library foundation as well as more than a million to your party. Then there is no political backlash, and the DAG who recommended the pardon can even go on to become Attorney General.

    The only buyer you didn't mention were the two largest buyers of sub prime loans. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Both sponsored by the Federal government. Take away the willing buyer of crap loans, and you lose the market for said crap loans and this whole thing never would have happened.

    Yeah, take a look at how the Western Electric telephone morphed and advanced over those 5 decades. At one point It went from a dial to buttons. Now look at how far cell phones have advanced in one decade and continue to stand by your statement.
