The same company that was making True Fantasy Live Online was also making an online Xbox fishing game.
I was really looking forward to that one, what happened?
If we must be forced by our government to accept software patents, should they not be appropriate for the environment they live in? The world of computing moves much faster than the ordinary world.
The life of a software patent should be good only for 1 year, then the method falls into public domain as it is likely becoming obsolete.
Note there are no claims that the browser speeds up page loading, rendering, or reading the web. Only 'Surfing' is sped up, which probably means the browser displays just the links and probably auto-clicks a link for you if you don't get around to it fast enough. Remember, surfing on the net is going from web page to web page.
Sounds like another example of trying to steal the blue ribbon, just like the recent clone claims. I mean honestly, claiming we grew a clone in the womb of a woman for the last 9 months which is exactly how regular babies are born but this one is a clone wink wink nudge nudge. Goobs.
Sounds to me like they just want Microsoft to make everything more difficult for the end user. How much extra downloading and installing are we gonna have to do to make things work properly before the justice department (or whoever else feels like suing) is satisified.
Just have Microsoft pay off here, license there and play nice, meanwhile leave the software alone! It works fine, it doesn't need any so called 'pro-competitive' improvements. Sheesh!

I remember when Sierra decided to do King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride in cartoon style. Something changed in the style of their games and I lost interest. Since then they have lost their seat at the throne of gamemakers and haven't recovered it. Is this start of a similar fall for Nintendo?

They hinted at the reason here and there.
It's the same theme that the Babylon 5 series had. It's about killing your parents.
What makes it interesting is... this time WE are the parents.
I think we all know where the inspiration for the Warthog truly came from.

So when does the mind control rock and roll shootout mod come out for Half Life?
If we are lucky, it will check out this site and display it's news items in color layout that doesn't burn our eyes.
Sounds like a prime candidate for a legal paradox that could destroy time itself!

This is the kind of news story that always appears at the beginning of a Gozilla movie.
Save Tokyo!
Do not disturb the frozen methane!
We have unlimited hunting of orcs in GemStone III. Join us against Blizzard's foolishness and help us destroy the orcs while we still can!
