There was no worry about it bouncing back into the laser with white paint, we used common light scattering paint instead of perfectly reflective front surface paint.
we stopped a 100 watt laser from damaging the cutting sled by painting it gloss white. if you reflect 98% of the energy it's no longer strong enough to cut or burn. Granted you cant be a moron and work around these things without safety goggles, but keeping it from burning is really easy.

Ahh someone that has zero experience in IT chiming in as an expert. Let me fill you in there kiddo so you undeerstand how the big boys play IT. Goog's business services works great. ALL our CRM systems are web based already as well as other data systems so moving them to cheap disposable chrome books is a no brainer. What is wasting their time is Giving them Windows Laptops. Having to have IT service them, deal with AV issues, etc...
Chromebooks work great for all of them. PLUS it give them more connectivity as we are buying a large data pool for all the laptops to be connected everywhere. Before the sales guys had to find a wifi location OR use their cellphone. Now they are "always on" and always through our Company connection via VPN.
Works great. Maybe you should look into how it all actually works.
"Nobody Seems To Notice" I guarantee to you that someone noticed and has been exploiting it for a while now. I know guys that have cracked the Chicago system for years now, wait... for over a decade now. Maybe Chicago has updated their ticket system, but I doubt it. Municipalities dont care if a system is cracked until it is widespread abused. If only 400 people in a city the size of Chicago are getting free rides, they dont even show up as an accounting anomoly. Imagine how many in NYC have figured out it's holes and are exploiting them.

And a 40W laser is a toy compared to the 100W laser I was talking about. and no it was automotive cheap glossy white. easy to spray.

Knowing the phone and the OS level, It's not being hacked. it's the craptastic phone and out of Date OS.

At work we are moving ALL the sales force over to them. Saving us a TON on IT costs.
