    I havent seen a bios that did not have the ability to disable MBR writing for 5 years now. What idiots are installing the OS and not turning on the MBR lock in bios?

    It's because you elect leaders that are LOW IQ like we do in the USA. you CAN have new buildings built that match the existing design and does not ruin the feel. But that requires Architects that have talent and real skill, real money to be spent, and Project managers that have a clue.

    MIT open courseware. Take all the courses now. That way you can get ahead of the curve by leaning from the TOP professors instead of the second tier ones you will have elsewhere. IF you do good enough you could test out of many classes for course credit so you can be further ahead of the game.

    Right now is the best time to be a teen before college. You have world class undergrad and graduate level stuff available to you for free. Eat all of it and ask for more.

    American companies are not offering 80%, they are offering in many cases 40%.

    Imagine you were making a hefty $55,000.00 a year as a specalist, and now the only jobs you can find are $28.500.00

    Because the company is not paying enough. Employees have some loyalty when they are being paid a fair wage. and if your competition can poach your employees cheaply, your fault for severely underpaying them.

    REally? show me a business that upgrades their phones every 6 months. They are tied to the same contracts. In fact MY experience with Fortune 500 is that they hold onto the fricking smartphones for a MINIMUM of 3 years.

    So where did you get your information, I get mine by actually working in corporate america and see exactly how they deal with smartphone assets.

    Biggest problem is that Microsoft has a TRACK RECORD of screwing handset owners. IT's why they exited the smartphone market 5 years ago, sales went through the floor after they screwed handset owners over and over with Windows Mobile.

    So they are coming back into the game with the "Oh yeah, you guys are the asshats" stigma, and they really should not start right down that road again.

    Is it going to be like the days of Windows Mobile? the only way to get updates is to buy a new phone?

    This is where Apple is winning, all phones get OS updates for several years. Google falls down on this as they let phone makers screw the users.

    Microsoft had better offer a instant free upgrade to WP8 for all owners of the Nokia WP7 phones, or they might as well pack it in. Their "Screw the user, unless they have a credit card" attitude back with the Windows Mobile phones are what drove me to Apple in the first place.

    HAM radio. you can run a keyer easily with severe arthritis. Plus a lot of it is larger scale and not micro mini scale. There is a huge community around it and you get to actually talk to people.

    I take better notes with my Fujitsu stylistic because it uses a Wacom tablet and does notwork at all with fingers. I cant get used to the hand hover required for the ipad.

    I really wish the ipad had both and when it sensed a pen it disabled the capacitive touchscreen.

    I am kind of excited, because unless they locked the bootloader, this will be a cool device for Ubuntu or another linux. Hell Let's install Android ICS on it.
    Android tablet hardware quality is pretty lacking, MSFT will certianly put out a device that is as nicely built as the ipad. And I really want a high end Android tablet.
