I'd say no, but even IF it did take 1 hour with current 250-300 mile range the people in the car would want to stop for 1 hour during the charge to eat, go to the bathroom, etc... at least normal people do that, maybe some of the more wierd types prefer to spend hours on end inside a car never stopping.

My computer boots from OFF in less than 15 seconds. it takes at LEAST 15 seconds to get the record safely on the turntable and the static dissipation applied.
Unless you love the experience of buttloads of pops and clicks as well as damaging a $580 cartridge on your technics turntable... you do it right.

dont have to desolder and resolder the chip.. Desolder existing chip, solder on advanced chip simulator connection. Run phone using the simulator hardware and reset image every attempt. It's not hard at all to have a modern PC completely simulate a chip with some extra hardware. Hell an FPGA could do the job easily.
