I can go to a casino and cash out from a CC $5000 and have it put on a 1 arm bandit. then play for a little while and hit the cash out button. it gives me a PAPER receipt with a magstripe that I can hand off to the mule to then cash out. Yes it's moving chump change amounts like $5000 and $10000 but it's doable at a casino without much effort. I'm certian that at bigger casinos if you let them in on the cut you can move a lot more.

I know all that goes on as I saw it for 2 years straight. There is a crapload of waste and a lot of people getting paid very little for doing nothing. 90% of the people on set are not needed. The studio would charge it's self for catering and location shooting on a studio soundstage.
Let's add to that that I helped recently on a major movie shot in Grand Rapids, MI this last year. They had a $290,000 RV for Bruce Willis that he NEVER SET FOOT IN. They had handlers and special people for him that were not needed.
I know how the industry works very well, I know how a lot of unions are sucking the teat of the movie industry. how the executives that do nothing suck the other teat, and how there is tons of money wasted.

And anything higher is a joke as most websites and services dont have a backbone to support it. Netflix will not stream faster to you if you have 200mbps incoming, you can just stream Netflix in the bathroom, Hulu in the kitchen, and run 20 torrents wide open in the master bedroom and hallway closet. for 90% of the people out there they dont need to do that. only 1 stream at a time as they like being near each other and all watch the TV together.
Honest people call their congresscritter and demand that internet be considered "common carrier status" and a "utility" that instantly fines comcast high $$$ for their antics.

copy the binary on your $MACHINE of $PROGRAM ont oa thumb drive or other medium or transfer. go home and download $PROGRAM from $WEBSITE and compile it in $COMPILER.
diff $PROGRAM with $PROGRAM_FROM WORK PC.. and enjoy all the changes they made.
and with ANY source, it takes even more effort to verify that the binary running on the machine is the same as the binary that is created from the compile of the source.

Instead of a Canon 1DS you use a Canon T2i. Saved $1500.00 there. Instead of L series glass you use decen non L series prime lenses. Save from $1500 - $30,000 depending on lens. Instead of high end pro backdrops, buy the china crap for $250.00.. Saved $2500.00 there, just buy new backdrops every 1-2 years. Instead of high end Lighting, again china cheap crap.. $450.00-$650.00 for a fullflash kit with giant softboxes and modeling lights... Saved $4,000 there.
The idiots buy top of the line and wonder why they never get any work because they charge $4500+ for a wedding. Whereas I only shoot with garbage T2i and T3i cameras that I dont care if I drop it or it falls 3 stories to it's death. so I get better shots because I gladly risk my gear.
The resulting photos are as good as a 1DS shot with the overpriced L series glass. when blown up to a 20X30. which is far larger than ANY client orders. Most never go past 11X17 that 1DS and L series glass shines when I need to print a billboard. but again, that photographer will not riding backwards on a jetski photographing the groom jetskiing in his tux. I get shots that guy will NEVER EVER get. and I get jobs he will never ever get, lots more jobs...
and I'm not even serious about photography. It's a hobby to me and I turn away work regularly. Pro level magazine work, not weddings. I was asked to photograph the Motorsports Power Tour this year.. I dont want to spend that much time on the road.

You will not get ANYONE signing a model release for their portraits.. Plus stock photo websites pay horribly bad for that kind of photography.
