Problem is that would require hiring competent staff at the USPTO. That is expensive. Therefore to keep the incompetent idiots happy, all upside down things will be thrown away. I'm sneaking in tonight and running a imagemajick script to rotate every image file it finds upside down on every server they have.
Problem is that most fax viewing apps have a "flip" button to flip it over. The digital fax server we have here automatically flips upside down ones... I guess the USPTO has a 1968 fax machine?:
Maemo is great, I have maemo on my N900. it's certianly not useable for a car stereo. The sliding menu at a single touch as well as a lot of other features already built into Android cuts my dev time by 3/4. With maemo I'll have to take almost 5 steps backwards because a lot of the functions I already have in android by default, I'll have to create for android.
Maemo is awesome for a General purpose touchscreen device. Android is turning out to save me a ton of time. the built in dialer screen rocks for bluetooth dialing, and I already have passthrough to the phone with voice dialing working.
Have you even seen what current double din touchscreen car stereos have for an interface?
just slapping Android on it will create a product that is tons better. JVC, Kenwood and others all have a horribly crappy interface that is borderline unusable. JVC has the most cryptic control interface on the planet, and they are one of the biggest companies in the mobile entertainment sector.
And why is earth on the red line? I knew this planet was low rent, but the dang realestate agent told me it was "exclusive" having "sentient life".... BAH
And what for the interface? Android is at least 9000 years ahead of anything else for a limited attention easy to use touchscreen interface. Plus I get a pile of apps ready to go including navigation.
Nothing is stopping people from porting android to use a standard Linux kernel.
Honestly It's a two way street, and I doubt that google looked at the Linux guys and told them to go fornicate with themselves.
Google does releases on their own schedule. Being someone that is deep into Android guts on the x86 level for a project of my own (android based car stereo) I am frustrated at them not releasing the latest version, but I can either sit and while like a baby, or take what I got and build on it.
Only if you want to stay where you are. If you rise above them and really shine, you get attention of the uppers Above your direct reports, report. I also got the attention of a vendor who made me an offer I could not refuse and left the company.
If you want to stay in the department and never move up, then yes, keep your head down and dont upset the others.
I'm the guy that enjoys overturning the car and spreading the produce all over the place... It's fun if I cent get buy-in from the peeps!
Having a PhD does not help. I went and asked the guy here with 2 of them. (ever seen real genius? remember laslo? we hired him. WE have a no smoking in the building, his office he chain smokes....) 1 in computer science and 1 in archeology.
I have a regular recumbent that I took apart the back wheel and had a hub motor installed.
http://www.goldenmotor.com/ is where I got my stuff to replace the rear wheel with a hub motor wheel. I use Li-Ion batteries, but I should change to Nickle Metal hydride as those take multiple charge discharge cycles better..
Nope, I worked with several muscleheads that lived by their copy of "mens health" and would do a workout lunch and return smelling like a bin of stinky jock straps and old socks.
Their excuse was "no time for a shower, I sprayed a lot of Axe on me..."
I embarassed an entire divisional Office. they were still talking about how to approach the problem and I produced a working prototype to the CTO in their meeting. He berated the other office of 8 that could not even get started on a project that I solved on my own in 1 week.
They still hate me to this day, and I've been gone for 4 years.
switch to a "ride flat" inntertube. It's a very stiff thick rubber innertube. you can still pump it up to 80psi, but if it get's a flat, you can still ride home safely, just extra work riding a tire at a 50-60 psi squishyness.
I use them on every bike now, got tired of patching a tube on the side of the road.
Reckless motorcycling is a self-correcting problem.
Yup... Yet I dont understand why we allow the kids to buy crotch rockets, the cheapest bike you can get, and let them on the road.
Honestly, if you are under 25, you should not be allowed to ride anything over 250cc. The retard parents around here buying little jonny a Hayabusa at age 16 is simply ridiculous.
Same goes for convertables, motorcycles, and F1 formula cars.
Guess what, even in a Escalade, if anything hits you.... I see those things every winter ripped open like melons after they roll over on icy roads... they have 4 wheel drive, they can go anywhere......
I can do it in the summer, but trying to get a bike through 6 inches of snow in the dark mornings while dodging traffic isn't fun or safe.
There are several people around her e that bike to work all through winter. 2" ice 12" snow, 6 degrees. they simply have studded tires and the right gear. Heck there is a chick that rides her motorcycle year round, even winter.
I added high end lighting to my bike. you can get a http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Bike-Blinky-eXtreme-Bicycle/dp/B000KBEH1W/ref=pd_bxgy_sg_img_c red led blinker for your back that will nearly blind cars in the daytime. same for the front. along with that I wear high visibility colors and have a flag. the Flag is the only thing that will save you when a idiot in a SUV blocks the other cars from seeing you, they see the bright orange flag over the suv.
Another good thing, if your bike does not have disc brakes, either upgrade or get a new bike. the increased stopping power is well worth it.
most decent fax recieve servers already save as pdf. so step 1 is not needed.

Which ones are the Mass Relays?

Then why is there over 20 AP's on my block that are broadcasting "Linksys" on channel 6 with no key or even passwords for accessing the config.
It seems like NOBODY knows this.

He had no clue either.
And an earlier study showed a correlation between television watching [suite101.com] and depression [naturalnews.com]
wait What?
I watch Tv on the internet......
I am so boned..... CRAP!

I did the same thing at comcast before I left.

Yet every town with one is a shithole.
Where is that money going? it's certainly not going to the city or even to maintain the area near the stadium.
I'd not be caught dead around any stadium in chicago or detroit 1 hour after a game and the police leave.
Yes it should. after a sane copyright and patent term.
I believe firmly in creating for the greater good after a short term of exclusivity.
He has, they simply bought the politicians and the laws to protect their income stream.
He said laws have nothing to do with justice, money and power is what matters.

Which is why you should support stricter fines and laws against hitting a cyclist with a car.
mandatory 30 days in jail and all liability to the medical bills of the cyclist might get idiot drivers looking for and paying attention to bikes.
