Going from company size, Samsung is much larger and worth a lot more considering they make so many products where as Apple 95-98% of their profits are from 2 product's
at best being ipad 2 16gb, if they wee 500$ "NEW" being OLD tech, Bulk purchase, on top of being a SCHOOL district. At most 300$ per which would be 9million $, so where does that OTHER 21million go?
Reading over the parent story link of this, when such bill's are proposed they use Child Porn has the reason for needing such bill's. Almost every bill of this kinda that is excuse they give for needing it is to help prevent child porn. I mean Really? Is that the best they can come up with to push this kinda crap through? Part that really is concerning is "including those located in foreign countries". So they can hack someone in a completely different country with 0 problem? Um i doubt most countries would be fine with state sponsored hacking like this. No surprise that anti-virus firms won't allow this, if they did let this crap through would make people question what else is and what else could pose as such malware and skate by with the white-list.

Its a school, at best they are ipad 2's but best. they won't stick ipad 3 in students hands.

even being a spy the defense should have the right to question said spy.

Well look at this from another view point, even if they told apple, ATM takes apple 1.5-2months to fix flaws as it is.
What about the 500million $ the obama administration put in to that one solar panel maker that end up bankrupting little over a year later?
Issue really is How long was the flaw known and How long did it take Apple to get off their ASS to fix it?
