Every single celebrity I have ever social networked with online has completely broken any celebrity preconceptions I had. You, the fan, should not add any celebrities you really like to your FB or twitter feed. As it is impossible to keep the celebrity mystique without writing and CGI staff.
I was so disappointed after adding Riddlick that I unfollowed him. And it was only last week that I got into an argument with the writer/designer of Babylon 5 on FB. And I came away from that with far less respect for him as a writer, if also more because he is so willing to interact with the fans. And then Sulu posted the most offensive thing I had ever read on the Internet earlier this month on FB.
A history of violence is not necessary to be violent. And since her kids were there, I think by itself the statement that she left to get a gun and came back in self defence is a logically sound statement and a possible and realistic situation.
The facts on both their criminal records, or lack there of, is evidence against that version, but only circumstantial.
There are two things I do not understand about that case. It is reasonable that she came back, as her kids were in the house. Correct? In other circumstances her coming back with a gun would look bad, in this situation, where some writing has implied her kids being present in the house, it makes perfect logical sense.
20 years does seem excessive for recklessly endangering everyone in the neighbourhood. Normally laws work mostly off of actual harm done, not chance that your actions could of caused harm.
You don't get 20 years for running a red light, you do if you happen to kill some people while running a red light. And I would argue that you have similar danger and irresponsibility in both these actions, so they are very comparable.
Was that not part of the NSA spying reveal. The huge amount of cooperation between countries with laws that protect spying on their own citizens but not other nation's citizens?
You route your data through a country with strict privacy laws, and that country intercepts it because their laws do not protect you, a non-citizen. They then allow access of that data to the NSA, and no one broke any laws.
If you cannot survive without electricity for 9 hours, you have to expect to die. Hell 3 days would be my absolute minimum, with multiple backup plans planned. Sure, there are broader cases, and legitimate reasons.
I think here in Canada, they strictly recommend that you are capable of surviving one or two days if you go out driving in winter. Because there is a chance that you and hundreds of others will be stuck in a blizzard and trapped without outside help for at least that long.
Just because this is a 1/4 of a billion dollar loss for the company that own it, that does not means that fishing hundreds of tons of salty, stained, sweaters off the bottom of the ocean is economical in the least.
You are talking multi million dollar and dozens of lives risks every time that a ship sails with a unbalanced and unknown weight cargo.
So why not weight the ship and check for an unbalance load? Since it is already setting in water, as long as you know the ship's specifications it would be ridiculously easy weight the entire ship in 5 minutes. By, for example, paining lines on the hull and measuring the water temp (I assume that the temp of water affects its bouncy).
Here in Canada in certain businesses, like Banks and I believe phone lines, were the government has allowed or promoted a monopoly, they also force the companies to provide universal coverage. It does not matter how much money you have, or where you live.
But if you are a bank in Canada, you are not allowed to just open up branches in the biggest cities and decide that it is not worth going in the small towns. If you are a Bank in Canada you need to provide your customers with universal money access. And I assume some reasonable, affordable, limit is placed on phone line access as well.
It is not about taxing the slums to pay for 20 miles of cable to some country manor, it is about equality.
Well if you are just a completely incompetent programmer, it cannot save you from yourself. But a lot depends on your language. Sure, you could write a GC for C++, but some of C++'s features are not really compatible with garbage collection.
But a language written specifically with GC being the only option in mind will fair a lot better at doing an optimal job.

It would be interesting to look at different species gender chromosomes, specifically in species were they are truly monogamy based and have been for a long long time.
But Amazon is already a publisher, they will already host your book, they already provide you you shelf space, and they will advertise your book. And they will take a percentage.
A publisher will take a percentage as well, and all they will do for 99% of all books is sign the Amazon contract for you.
But the average driver does not even have the ability to know how long ti takes to stop their vehicle, so you are expecting people to follow guideline that they do not know.
