If they'd put as much effort into writing a better platform as they do into whining about how closed off Microsoft is, then maybe competition wouldn't be an issue. Interoperability is useful for everyone but that doesn't mean that they should be able to sue Microsoft into being compliant with the full HTML spec or CSS or whatever the new technology may be.
Unionized labor may help a group in the short term but leads to the overall decline of the group as a whole in the long run. Unions are only out to help the members without any consideration for keeping the company running in the long term. I'd never join a Union and I'd laugh in the face of anyone that tried to start one. There was a place for them once but that time has long since passed.
If Microsoft provides a way to change the setting for the default for the search engine used then that should be enough. What does Google expect them to do, default to Google instead. That's fairly stupid on their part. Market share means nothing in this discussion since their is a way to change the setting. It would only mean something if Microsoft defaulted it to their search engine and didn't provide any way to change it. Google needs a reality check on this one.
Pretty sad that Wal-Mart is the target company for these games. I've never purchased a game from Wal-Mart and with policies such as this, they've guaranteed that I'll never buy one from them ever.

It all depends on which school you go to. I'm in CIS and the only real diffence between CS and CIS at my school is that CS majors take physics and an electrical engineering degree and CIS majors take a some business classes. CIS is a better major if you're looking towards becoming a manager.
