I get so frustrated on the rare occasions when I actually need to use Windows... I've gotten so used to KDE that Explorer just feels so akward to use. If I can slap KDE on there, it'll be like home away from home. Vry, very cool.
It's just a terrible mess, all this DRM crap. If stricter DMCA makes it in Canada, it'll set a new precedent for a new, tougher one here... it's like this game of one-upmanship on who can be more draconian. What is next, making it illegal to use computers without DRM on them? (Trusted Computing, anyone?)
Hey, it's awesome that the mac thing works for your needs. It just isn't any more the solution for everyone just as much as windows isn't.
Choice is an awesome thing, isn't it?
I have an iMac (got it for "free"... traded 2 old laptops for it) as well my trusty old Linux/XP dual boot box. My opinion? Based on my needs, OS X is just too crippled to be of much use. I mean, if you're just someone who wants it to "just work" and don't care about lock-in, then OS X is fine. But meanwhile for those of us who don't spend the whole day surfing the net or using Photoshop, macs are pretty much paperweights. Sorry if your experience doesn't match mine, but it's the only one I have authority to speak on.
Kind of true. Back when I was in school I'd often dream about taking finals. Even though few questions I dreamed up showed up on the test, I kept my cool on weird questions that I didn't know.
So, how will these marketing shrills handle the reactions when people start getting violently angry about these techniques?

Most of the time I put my head down and cry...
Sorry, it just isn't that interesting that they found out about a crippled notebook.
What I'm really waiting for is a several week ahead leak about 10.6 Officially being available for PCs.
Now THAT would would be a helluva rumor.
