I bet if you stuck you penis inside a woman without her wanting it there she would be perfectly in her rights to cut it off! Seems like a self defense to me. Same thing goes with a futus/baby. She doesn't want it there, she can kick it to the curb.

But a drivers license is an OPTION. You don't need to drive. I went a good 4 years on my own without a car. Sure I lied to my employer (worked shitty hourly retail job while in college)about my ability to drive in when it was raining. But I lived for 1 year very close to school, and abotu 8 miles from work. Then I lived for 2 years about 2 miles from work and 12 miles from school, and finally I lived a year 9 miles from work and 10 miles from school. And sure I bummed some rides with friends every now and then but I also biked (or walked) 12 months doing all of this.

Social Security they give me (hopefully) money when I retire. Sounds fair.

This is just supposed to stop mexicans from working in the US. And well they will continue to work here despite the ID card because they alread do it illegially. It isn't like the employers are getting duped, they just want plausible deniability by having a fake SSN, they know they are hireing illegials. They will do the same with the id card. Just a different number.

You would be supprised how much ground you can cover with a bicycle when it is your only mode of transportation. Even in a HOT, HILLY, and CONGESTED metro area like Atlanta.

Ehh. Only option one is a combustion engine.

Number 2 and 3 are the same. Fuel Cells are electrical generators that can use a liquid power source. Batteries are electrical power storage mediums. They are both electric cars, and so is the Chevy volt (it just has a petrol generator on it).

And bio-fuels are well a bad idea. They are in essence very very low efficiency solar power. Their only benefit is that they fit in (almost perfectly) into our current fossil fuel based transportation system.

The versatility of a combustion engine, and the power density and portability of petrol/diesel will last for a VERY long time. Bio fuels CAN NOT SCALE! The ideas behind them will be scrapped but they will remain a very minor player.

Density! There is a required 'critical mass[population]' required to suppport a store, and that population must all be within 2 blocks of the store.
Current status! Density brings me to the fact that massive roads, and even larger parking lots brings density down. Not to mention large blocks of commertial or residential area that is alerady built out.
Job longevity! In the old days you would work at a job for 10s of years. Allowing you to live very near by. Now working at a single job for more than 5 years is not that common. You can't just up and move every few years, espically without a pickup truck.

I want it to happen, but it wont happen. The solution is massive and efficient public transportation. Then it will be possible to back build our cities to accomodate walking and other non-auto forms of transportaiton.
