It's a nice idea, but you're leaving out the grey. Namely, a guy could get relugated to the "friend zone" if she thinks that he isn't interested in her. It's much better to have said eye candy as a friend then not at all.
other reasons:
He had a girl friend when she met him and is now single, but she doesn't think he is over the ex. (Usually happens if he mentions the ex too often)
If she thinks he could be gay, but is too polite/afraid to ask.
There are others, I'm sure, but that's all the brain filter is letting though at this time.
Playing with the applet, I noticed that it uses the right hand more then the left, which is not so great for us lefties. I'm afraid my poor right hand just couldn't handle the added stress.:)
