I agree a religion is not require. I don't agree religion is a contradiction to "right result" for someone else. It is only a contradiction for your "right result."
I still believe the point of my original post, "wrong reason, right result" is flawed, still stands. The pursued argument further supports the my assertion.
Economists are handy in almost any subject area where a practical statistical analysis needs to be made of real world data. Given the data that climatology uses appears to be large statical data sets, an economists is very worthwhile to have on a team study climate change. While they an economist may not be able to determine why something is happening, they will be able to tell you if statistical data supports the hypothesis.
For the curious, yet uninformed, which event in scientific discovery occurred 200 years ago?
Please do not say Darwin's Theory of Evolution because the second voyage of the Beagle did not occur until 1831; "On the Origin of Species" did not occur until 1859.
Go to Canada and wait two weeks to see the doctor for the broken ankle. By the way, it is common for the bone to have to be rebroken to get it set properly.
Go Universal Healthcare.
MAP is a joke. Wisconsin has minimum markup on goods by law to "protect the small guy." (Yes, I understand that MAP and minimum markup are not the same, but the effect on the consumer is almost the same.) MAP and minimum marks ups do nothing to protect the small guy. I see all of the same big box stores dominating in Wisconsin as I see everywhere else in the country. In the end any minimum price fixing to "protect the small guy" does nothing but hurt the consumer.
When it comes to lowering prices, supplier competition is king. Guess what, as a consumer retail outlets are the supplier, not the manufacturer.
I dislike the ribbon interface because I find that the many actions take 1 to 3 more mouse clicks compare to the classic office interface.
I tried the change. I don't think it is an improvement.
That's right. We had to sign those damn treaties. I forgot that the US isn't sovereign over itself.
Obviously you don't worry about maintaining backwards compatibility while adding new features in your job.

The straw at this moment seems strong enough.
Are there any religions you believe should be endorsed by the government because they bring about the right result?
My comment is to point out the flaw in "wrong reason, right result" thought process; not to debate the validity of global warming.

I understand your comment but none of those calamities are exclusive to free market or government.
It's a long fail.

Yea, but the government has the authority to use force. Disney can loop "It's a Small World." Pick your poison.
If subpar technology faded, then we would all be running Alpha processors instead of x86.

I would donate millions of man-hours to write software for the F-22 if I got to do the hardware testing.
Assuming there is free space to move data between and have room for a new partition. While not critical, still an inconvience
