heres a thought, lets say to hell with all these domain "NAMES" and work strictly on IP addressess.. course then we'd have people saying, "no no no, you cant have http://6.6.6.0 thats the site formerly known as Microsoft. Unrealistic, maybe, however the internet is, in some form or another, almost entirely public domain. so lets just hand out everything on a first come first serve basis. (also not likely to happen) but regulation can be done...no more than one name per person or company or whatever. that would help eliminate cybersquatting now wouldn't it?
granted, that for over 100 it was kinda high priced...i just bought mine saturday. It was actually over 200 for the full mother load set, and then for 6 AA batteries and a 9 volt. As with some other ppl, i havent touched legos for several years and have been working basically out of the book for the models for now, however they are fun to play with, i have yet to make anything productive with them, though i do feel that over time its possible (just make sure you have some old parts to through in if u want to get creative... They're expensive, but there fun lil toys
a year or so back (if memory serves), M$ did try taking down the FreeBSD servers and replacing them with NT servers. Didn't work. NT couldn't handle the loads or something, or just wouldn't setup to maintain the system the way it was. I doubt its a publicity stunt, however if it is, i hope no one falls for it
While there are a lot of "mental problems" that perhaps are over exagerated in todays culture, (really, how many 5 year olds need drugs to go to school and does it make their learning experience all that much better). There are some disorders that are best treated with some drugs. For example, perhaps someone has a problem with controling some of their emotions, not to the extent of schizophrinia or a constant depression, but one how is maybe just a little edgy sometimes, and i'm not talking about 5 year olds who like extra sugar on their cereal before school. Then there are those people who do have perhaps a constant feeling of suicide and depression. Granted drugs may make them feel better for a time, but what about after the drugs wear off, are their problems solved? NO. The problems are still there, they're still not solved, so whats the next step? More Drugs! The ending point of all this, is that some people who have problems don't need drugs, but really need someone who can relate to whats going on with them, and talk about their problems, as hard as that may be. And perhaps there are some problems that we still don't know how to deal with.
