  2. Taxes on Obama Wants Broadband, Computers Part of Stimulus · · Score: 0

the only reason democrats want broadband-for-everyone is to be able to tax it. Once a large majority of the population has it, the gov't will come in and tax it.

  5. Who cares??? on Voting Machines Routinely Failing Nationwide · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Voting is a feel good exercise anyway. If anything it should be harder for someone to vote. Lets first start by taking some sort of intelligence test. Weed out the idiots. Live of the gov't? No vote. Then institute share-holder like voting. After all everyone who pays into the system has a stake. So let those who pay more have a larger stake. Remember there is only one objective in the 2008 election. Transfer of personal responsibility to the gov't. Why else do you think Obama is running?

  6. DC in the House/Office on What To Do With All of My Gadget Chargers? · · Score: 1

How about wiring DC along side AC in the home/office That way energy sucking bricks won't be needed. Doesn't really solve the interconnect problem on the device side, but I'm sure there could be some standard. Hey even the iPhone 3G doesn't have a USB connector.

  8. So could they still at least watch the "live" show on NBC Activates Broadcast Flag · · Score: 1

....it is still being recorded. I thought this flag is for future transfer to a different machine (computer, handheld, other DVR). Not necessarily to stop time-shifting. Esp since the "live" show you are currently watching on your DVR is actually recorded anyway.
