I got stock options from "Company A". Company A was acquired by Company B. Options transferred, converted to Company B stock, so far so good.
Stock options almost ready to exercise, company B states less than expected earnings. Stock drops 40% that day. Stock options worthless. Now I'm just waiting for stock to rebound (optimisim::pray()). So, hopefully, over the next 5 years Company B stock will come back.. Hopefully. (BTW, Company C now owns us...).
And it really really sucked. It is illegal, but one of the best things you can do to help yourself is make sure you put a "freeze" on your account with your local bell. Call them up and tell them you would like to put a "freeze" on your account. This prevents slamming because it takes verbal authorization from you, and a third party (non-interested third party verification people) to switch. Do it for you local and your long distance.
The company that slammed me got in some serious trouble with the FCC not too long after they did it. I found out I was slammed when I tried to make a international long distance call and it wouldn't let me. Slamming really really sucks.
My wife is from one of those Northern European countries (the place where I quite want to be...) and it would be great to buy DVD's there to bring back and play here (especially for the kids). If they nix the coding - then I'm set, otherwise, oh well.
Well, yes I do think this is proof of something. I'd put my sun up against any WIN-whatever box and see which one we can get to crash first. I'd put my paycheck on the WIN box going down first.
Ok, as you are taking a cool look at some of the finer http://www.drbukk.com/gmhom/gmindex.html mobile homes of mississippi, how about the smell of old cigarette butts and stale sun warmed mostly-empty cans of cheap beer wafting across your screen?
