I have a hard time gauging this, since I prefer the phone form factor (4") in combination with real computers (read: laptops)...:)
Of course, Android wins hands down as an OS, and the additional hardware features on the Galaxy Tab are decent, but I'm not sure they'll be able to keep up in terms of haptics, screen quality (XGA on 10" is too low, IMO, but the color reproduction on that IPS panel is fantastic) or battery life.
After watching the demonstration video in the article (smoothly, in Flash 10.1 in Dolphin Browser HD on Android 2.2 without an overclock on my Desire), I can safely say that this dude was having SERIOUS bandwidth issues. Turn off your bittorent and get real internet connection, jackass!
Sound and video look just fine (over 3G!), with just a tiny bit of chop... Site seems to be just slightly Slashdotted though - the video is bit slow to load in general (on my laptop too).
Sort of paradoxical to watch the dude complain about the Flash player while watching in the Flash player. Looks a lot like his connection is... well... fucked.
Hmmm... Flash videos that load quickly on my PCs load quickly on my Desire.
However, Youtube and all the other streaming sites just sometimes have hickups - the stream will just stop buffering at some point, of the prebuffering is so slow that you need to pause the video for five minutes before starting. This happens on desktop machines, laptops, everything...
It's definitely not a general Flash-on-Android issue.
Some of the controls are problematic, but the smoothness of complex games on Flash 10.1 on my Desire impresses me day to day. Hell, I could even play Bubble Blast on Facebook decently, which is pretty detailed.
Obviously you're going to have trouble with interfaces designed for a mouse, but how is that Flash's fault?

Have you seen the new Archos offerings? They start at 300 for very similar offerings (WSVGA capacitive with a 1GHz Cortex A8)... just without the cellular radio. Unfortunately also without Android Market, but at least the devices show that they CAN be produced and sold for humane prices.
Obviously the screen isn't magically going to mutate into a 1080p monster when you play back 1080p material, but just being able to watch that material without needing to reencode it first is already a massive bonus.
Remember life before Rockplayer? Even DivX/XviD had to be reencoded so that you could watch it on Android...
I dunno, seems a bit expensive. I've been hearing about iPad-like prices (800 is floating around as a European-market ballpark figure), which is just not worth it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not much of an iPad-fan, but 64 gigs vs. 16, higher resolution, better (IPS baby!) screen, proven reliability and battery life... not to mention the software on the Galaxy Tab looks a lot like the UI was just cloned from the iPad (check out things like the browser and E-Mail app in the Engadget preview video).
If you're spending the exact same amount of money, why not buy the real thing instead of an imitation?

You should check your Battery History in the INFO menu (dial *#*#4636#*#*)... if "Running" (listed under "Other Usage" with "Since last unplugged" set) is higher than the amount of time you were actively using your phone, it's probably not going into standby properly when you turn it off. If that's the case, you should check under "Partial Wake Usage" and the battery use statistics in Settings=>About Phone to see if you can locate the culprit.
Are you sure? I couldn't find it in English, but according to this, you can use Clockworkmod via fake-flash, and I'd imagine you can use that to flash a ROM...

Look at the software on the galaxy tab... it's made to look as much like the iPhone/iPad UI as possible.
