    There is also some condition, eg. essential fructosuria (inability to process fructose), which will result element to not be metabolized (and in the previous example, you *will* piss fructose).

    It's no specifically that they eat too much, but rather the fact that fast carbs do not satiate very much, thus their over consumption.

    It's not specifically the lack of will power, but certainly the addictive nature of fast carbs. The US are just a nation of fast carbs junkies.

    Of course. They lack the will power to stop eating fast carbs like there is no tomorrow. To some extend, they are getting addicted to there tasty pastry.

    This thermodynamics argument is oversimplifying things. The human body is not a perfect black box (ie. there is output), and all calories are not biologically processed the same way. Fructose has almost no use in the body whereas glucose is the main fuel, so 2000 calories from glucose will not trigger the same response as 2000 calories from fructose. Moreover, if the body was just consuming this magic "calories" unit, we could all run on electrical power...

    Given that the average American commits 3 felony a day, and probably lies exponentially as much... I fail to see your point. Lies are the foundation of social life, might it just be lie by omission. There is no such thing as immaculate honesty, and those who preach it are the first liars.

    "Free"-thinkers are against the status-quo advocated by the business class propaganda. These hacktivist are a threat to AM business-model (ie. a scam). They are using the same FUD technique as lifelong politicians do to stay in power. I was really surprised by the form used in the message. It is very much binary. Us, law-abiding citizen, and them, criminals.

    Why does lifelong monogamy has to be the moral norm ? There is strictly no biological basis to it. At best, monogamy for a period of 5 to 10 years can be justified, in order to raises children. But lifelong ? You got to be kidding...

    Technically, if you use solar to heat molten salt, it can be made to produce energy at night (thermal inertia).
