Well I live in Eastern Europe - Bulgaria. I am paying 18 euro/month for symmetric 20Mbit/s Internet access and 40Mbit/s local traffic (to/from hosts in my country); Public, static IP address; No bandwidth caps, no torrents throttling.
From what I read here it is certainly a lot better from US "broadband".
