On behalf of those of us who actually live in Tallahassee, Tallahasse has been connected for years. We've got one of the oldest Freenet's in the country. We're also not all rednecks, although there are still a few around. You forget that Florida is not a southern state but a northern one trying to stay warm. The capital reflects that.
Once, there was a mediocre non-fiction writer who decided to write for a "hip" pseudo-news website to aid his aging career. Unfortunately, he was so clueless, he lost the affections of Natalie Portman, who was engrossed in a bowl of grits while staring at a picture of Rob Malda. Yet, by focusing his laser-like intellect, he was able to develop new hi-tech theories about a special turtle-nerd culture being persecuted in the Galapagos Islands. These turtle-nerds, grititarians all, were more than welcome to accept this writer, so long as he buttered their grits and stroked their necks. Unfortunately, the writer for got to yell "FIRST POST!"
Find a local credit union that has the Bill Payer service. You not only can do all your banking on line, including paying bills, for an extremely low or no fee, YOU OWN THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION YOU ARE USING!! In Tallahassee, there are a number of Credit Unions offering this service. If we/ve got it, I expect most parts of the USA do as well.
I really like this definition of Geek. I would add some verbage about intellegence too. Here's my edited version: "GEEK - An individual of higher than average creative ability and intellegence who has alienated him or herself from the social machine, and is devoted to a practice that is by its nature, introverted."
