That might be a valid point if this wasn't starting, at the very least, during the Clinton era which pre-dates most people's internet access. Secondly, the BBC is guilty of it too and they don't have to worry about income.

I personally think it comes down to trying to expand their markets and have news coverage 24 hours a day. The fact is there isn't enough news to pad out a whole day and keep people interested.

TV news is the worst but print media still needs to compete with TV so it can be just as bad.

Most everything drops in value. Try selling a DVD you bought for $20 and you'll be lucky to get $5 for it. Those used books for only a couple dollars...what do you think people originally paid for them and I know for one, I wouldn't pay new prices for used clothes. Cars certainly don't hold their value.

The only things that keep value are things that are harder to come by, like housing in a specific location and gold. But even things that lose their value can have hidden gems, like rare cars. Some rare video games have sold for thousands but for most things they will lose their value quickly because most people don't want something that someone else had their grubby hands on. It just makes sense. Why pay nearly new prices for old when you can have new for new prices?

It's a MS search engine that is trying to compete as a neutral place for information rather than, say, a search for MS' own sites so yes I expect better.

There's no point in auto suggesting if you're going to ignore what people will likely want. They'll end up having to type the whole query anyway and therefore there is no benefit.

If *any* company wants me to use their search engine then I expect good clean honest results. If any other search engine were as bad then I'd not use that either. The fact it happens to be MS doing it doesn't really matter that much.

No one in my class had an issue reading normal writing and cursive. If you're taught it properly then it's no different to reading anything else. You need to be taught how to hold a pencil/pen (this goes for any writing) and that will improve the legibility, your fatigue and speed.

That's why they used ot give some kids those rubber triangle things to help them learn to hold the pencil properly. Sort of like this: http://content.onestepahead.com/assets/images/product/detail/11942_1.jpg

I do think a lot of schools see writing as not so important so it's not given as much time and it has no benefit for university in the eyes of many. School has become more about preparing people to go to university than teaching kids the basics and how to learn.

The problem is not everyone go to university and in fact not everyone should go to university. It lowers the value of a degree. If everyone was to have a degree they'd be no better than a high school diploma and you'd be lumped with debt on top of it.
