The US will no doubt act like it has done India the greatest favour ever and owns them. Even if the US planes were better, it'll be better to have a slightly inferior plane and not get bullied by a bunch of war hungry jack-offs in the US government.
You're right grampy shitty pants, but I think your Alzheimer's is kicking in. WP7 and Lumia in particular are consumer phones aimed at consumers and not businesses. It wants to be cool like the iphone but it fails.
If it weren't cool because it was a business phone aimed at businesses then that would be different. Instead it desperately wants to be cool and looks like cool as interpreted by old out of touch people such as yourself.
Windows sucks. Face it most people had a bad experience with Windows even if it's their own fault. It's also something their company uses so a lot of people associate their distaste of work with Windows. Combine that with the fact it doesn't look that cool and offers nothing all the other phones have and you have to question why anyone would want one.
Because that's how things work. If we always acted like our parents then our society wouldn't have advanced as much as it has. I'm not saying he's entirely right in regards to facebook or twitter (especially with picking the cut off at 30) but it is safe to assume communication amongst generations has changed.
Yeah because nearly non-existent profits have helped tremendously on desktop computers. That's why a lot of companies have died off, are lookign to move to tablets to save them or copying Apple's model with ultrabooks to save them.
Which of course doesn't help any one company other than Google. Google has taken the Windows approach and will leave the hardware guys to fight over scraps and if it goes like the desktops, a lot of them will die off or move onto something else.
It's a bad thing if you want to give everyone a consistent experience or you want to develop apps, like games, where performance difference can matter.
That's true if you're comparing phones. Though I'm sure Apple is happy to sell ipod touches too as it gets you buying more stuff from their shop. Which of course makes the iOS market more attractive and can keep developers on their side and away from Android.
Yeah why turn to the government for shit service when the private sector will happily provide shit service. A lot of people don't have a choice in providers so by "firing" AT&T, they're giving up broadband. That's not a great choice.
Arm windows devices won't have existing app support. I'm sure Microsoft will develop some applications for it (or they may push their cloud based Office solution) but I won't get my games or anything else from third parties unless they specifically make an Arm version. So on Arm Android has the software library advantage.
That was a huge problem with Windows Mobile too. Having a windows desktop on a tiny screen was utterly retarded. They should have paid someone to come up with interface that was sensible for those devices rather than recycling the same old design.
The tech industry kills off competition with a stock pile of shitty patents and then claims hollywood is stifling innovation with copyrights. I think copyright is getting out of hand but this reeks of hypocrisy to me. All I suspect that would come out of Silicon Valley killing Hollywood is that Silicon Valley just becomes worse than Hollywood.
I'm not sure I'd call the extremely closed off nature of Xbox live as a move forward. You can't even surf the internet on the xbox. I would argue it's a worse situation than what we've had with the old model. At least once I bought a DVD I owned it with no subscriptions involved, it plays on many systems and I can make a copy.
Some of that applies to online services but it certainly doesn't apply to the 360.

Yeah it should because it is *so* hard to find.

IMO, Android seems to be the windows of mobile phones so avoid it.

If you can't run a mac I'm not sure how you manage with an Android phone. Some people just aren't meant to use computers.
Feel free to list all the things the 2001 dumb Nokia phone had that the iphone doesn't have.
You're probably right but that's Google fault for giving hardware companies absolute freedom which of course results in pain for the consumer.

Maybe people are learning from their experience on the desktop that skimping on cost leaves them with shit that doesn't work well.
Didn't you know R&D for Apple is locking up children in dungeons for not owning an iPad. They're the new evil, buy windows phone 7!

Don't worry, Windows Phone 7 will obviously save Nokia.
What about the Rand corporation?

I can watch HBO for 24/7 for a flat fee.

The Apple Newton came about in 1987. WinCE came about in 1996. How did Microsoft beat Apple to the handheld PC market?

I thought the Palm Pilot III was excellent aside from the inconvenience of using a dial-up modem for a live connection.
