This means controllers shift their attention wholly to inbound flights and order the traffic the old fashioned way which is slow and tedious. That means a lot of circling planes or in case of circling too long or being at the back of the line, getting diverted and sitting it out someplace else, of course you're being held hostage during this time but just remember you have a choice in airlines but not in air traffic control systems.

If you were stuck at an airport trying to fly out or if you were flying into one of the airports affected then it was not just a minor software glitch, it was a major pain in the ass. For decades now the FAA has been trying to put into place a new ATC that will help eliminate these kinds of problems as well as higher more controllers but like with anything "gubment" it takes a long time.
Of course we all know there's incentives provided to school districts and Google of course gets more subscribers, more accounts and more hooks into the kids. I doubt 90% of the parents even know what apps or access their kids have while at school. I do because my kids have been hacking the firewalls for years so I routinely get a "your son/daughter has been violating school policy.... blah blah blah" I retort "fix your insecure shit, they're providing vulnerability testing services to you for free!"
Bullshit, it's called getting the legal screws applied to your nuts, not some change of heart concerning privacy by Google. They're facing multiple lawsuits and they're making concessions that they know they'll have to implement anyway. I'm hoping Judge Koh throws the book at these hypocrites.
Distracted Driving is a symptom of people being too self-absorbed. We're less civil to one another, less courteous and more self-righteous than ever before. That results in behavior that's just "fuck everybody else." The people who feel that they're not creating a problem while texting or being pre-occupied with a conversation or dialing really don't give a shit about everybody around them. I mean we all have airbags right? What's the problem? My call / text is more important than your puny life and where you're trying to go. Bad technology use is a symptom of bad behavior and there are plenty of bad behaviors that occur when people are driving, they don't have to be using a cell phone. That's why I've told my kids that when they're all out of college, I'm buying an old ice cream truck, some chain guns and dressing up like Sweet Tooth!

This kind of article and thinking by a studio exec shows that nothing has changed in the way of making movies. Of course, content and story have nothing to do with it, it's down to what you're watching it on which completely takes the studios off the hook for producing anything that you'd actually want to pay for. Has anybody really seen a film that Dreamworks has produced in the last 10 years that's worth seeing again and again? Clearly the pay per view model is where this douche is focusing and I'm sure we're all going to want to pay, happily, to see "Dinner For Shmucks", "Cowboys and Aliens" or "Need For Speed" again.
it doesn't matter what they were doing with the cell phone but disrupting the disruptive behavior may just shake the retards into at least focusing on the actual task at hand, which is driving. I can't tell you how many times I get cut off or have to deal with retarded drivers who are too involved in the secondary task of fiddling with their cell phone. Not signalling, pulling out without looking, cutting people off and wandering in the lane. Frankly I believe if you get caught using a cell phone while driving talking or texting you should get your license suspended or at least pay a heavy enough fine to deter the behavior. Even the NTSB says hands free isn't enough and it's time that states and the federal government need to stop bowing down to cell phone companies in this matter, just make it illegal and start suspending licenses or imposing fines because distracted cell phone abusers are as bad as drunk drivers on the road.
