Definitely not. The ease of control that implanted RFID tags would give to those in power, is equal to the ease of control that product RFID tags give to you.

In a perfect society, sure, they'd help find criminals and missing persons. Otherwise, the consequences of misuse (by those with authority as well as those without), however minimal the risk, is simply too much.

Most athiests are technically agnostic; they're agnostic about God just as they are agnostic about the tooth fairy, the flying spaghetti monster, the great teapot orbitting saturn and the invisible pink unicorn.

    Stephen Robert said it best:
"I contend that we are both atheists. I just go one god further than you. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

That rabbi are using it as a book to interpret seems somewhat dodgy; I would have thought God would intend his subjects to follow his written word to the letter and I don't think there's any piece of his book that says "if you don't want to obey me, that's fine".

This is nothing new though. Ever since the birth of superstition, religions have been changed over time to keep up with current affairs and their once undeniable holy books (which are supposed to be the infallible word of God) have become so dated that they are now referred to as interpretations, guidelines or even mere stories.

To my understanding those were the 'Brown Years'. EDS would bring contracts on board left right and center without any sort of process for dealing with them and figuring out whether they can actually do the work after winning them. When Mike Jordan came on board the company's stocks went from a nosedive to the gentle incline it's enjoying today. This is before my time with EDS started, however.
