At some point, Apple will not allow apps using Swift 2.3 into the App Store. I don't think this split will exist for very long. Apple has the advantage of controlling both sides of the ecosystem.
Do a new install of most Linux distributions or OS X, then type python --version. It's 2.7
If you replace the default python with 3, shit will break. Fuck python. Fuck python forever. It's been 9 years and these fycjtards can't figure this out. Fuck them.
It's just a fad. Buying hardware, putting a Linux distro in the CD drive, installing, configuring, driving hardware down to hosting center, installing hardware in a cage, testing, driving home, and then repeated all this when something goes wrong or needs upgrading is much more efficient. Nothing will even compete with a Linux server in a corner / basement / under a desk.
People said the same thing 10 years ago about web applications. The market for native Mac and PC applications is disappearing. You could do Facebook as a client-server application. There's a reason they didn't. You could do Facebook mobile app as a native iOS app. There's a reason they didn't.
In the trade-off between functionality and battery life, users have chosen functionality for their real modern mobile phones. Nokia hasn't been able to compete in the area of functionality.
I did BlackBerry development for years, and RIM was always difficult to deal with. Simple stuff like having to fill out the same web form every time I wanted to download something, even though I was logged in. Android and iOS have better tools, better support, better experience for the developer.
I'm still writing my Y2K compliance docs. I want to make sure they're detailed and complete before I turn them in to management. Have to get the font and formatting just right. Too soon to worry about the latest fads.
Yeah, but if they fixed it, what would we bitch about? Slashdot produces crap HTML and JavaScript to engender sophisticated discussion about web standards and coding practices. Also, the developers are not beaten with enough frequency or severity.

I started reading /. back when the UIDs where in the 10k range
Yeah, I think it was always crap. Remember Signal 11? Jon Katz? The ignorant are drawn to comment sections.

Bestiality not beastiality.

SOPA blackout would have saved Soulskill some embarrassment.
But they're really nice C64 blades.
Shocking.
There's so much wrong with this post, I don't even know where to begin, but what I really want to know is... ...there's a non-US version of baseball?!?

First, you'll need to travel back in time to when you were 13. Now you should be able to appreciate this "sophisticated" show.

...one of these releases won't suck. Not holding my breath.
ALU has another product, 9907 Rapidly Deployable Network that is designed for this.
What kind of humorless sack would mod this down?
I would pay good money for an eBJ.

In a few releases, it will be worse than IE. It's not even in my top three browsers any more.
I would tell give you the list, but they're pretty obscure. You probably haven't heard of them.
Are you sure? Word on the street is that moot sold out months ago, just no public announcement. You think those captchas are just a coincidence?
Mod parent insightful. I wish I had mod points. +1 and kudos
I felt the same way until I got my first CueCat, a fresh breeze of progress across the rotting mountain of human endeavors.
iAgree
You have to average those two numbers to get the 95% figure. Don't be so lazy next time.
