    agree. if, for instance, i have small hard drive on which i keep the OS and software, and a bigger one for most of the stuff i get from the internet, what do i do with ZFS? besides, i dont know how good the raw performance specs are, which are more vital to a SOHO/mediacenter/desktop PC than esoteric administering options.
    somebody got any reliable stats for it?

    BTW, alt.* going down on multple providers, etc. on the basis of stupid/irrelavant laws is quite certaily a violation of net neutrality.
    2. half the costs of laying down optical fiber is legilative (permits, etc.), if it worent for these regulations, ISPs, or maybe separate last-mile provider could lease/laydown fiber at much better prices for a given bandwidth than coax/twisted copper, who werent MENT to carry internet signals
    3. 'dun know 'bout that, but i bet they are making shoddy work at it
    4.i doubt airlines would leave their planes unmaintained for practical reasons (IOW, plain crashes really cut ticket sales);
    rules of the road? ENFORCED? since when?

    performance hit? todays cheapest computer could be classified, for its intents and purposes, overdesigned, and thats with windows in mind. With linux an' the *BSDs, its spare CPU cycles galore. (Except ubuntu, they should rename it Linux Vista(r).) In conclusion, preach it brother!
