There are probably no implication for cryptography. Solving linear system is a well known and polynomial problem. We can do it faster now for some well structured matrices. But We already had quite fast algorihtm for doing it. Cryptography usually does not rely on solving linear systems, they are way too easy to solve.
I started using boost recently to have a look at their graph library. Hell, what kind of mess is that. The documentation is less than poor. I mean, they believe it is documented. But it is clearly not understandable.
There are no links between concepts and types that implement them. Almost no useful code example. Everything is presented as a template spec which is quite useless if you do not know the overall project.
So if you want to contribute to boost, I suggest you start writing "readable" documentation for it.
yes. And since we don't have good drivers for the gps, mer is not an option for me... I would love a more stable/customizable OS for my n810, but I don't think it will happen.

Since you are a registered user of slashdot, you can filter what you want or do not want to read. This story was in idle. It often contains stuff that don't matter.
First of all, I am an open street map user through maemo mapper on the n810 and you are doing an AWESOME job. Thank you for it.
May be you could suggest the "free-as-in-beer users" of OSM to to add a sponsor link to their search engine.
Something else might be to offer them to develop or organize some feature with them to improve the maps. For instance, I find fairly difficult to edit maps in open street map, but if there was a good interface to allow the user to report back to OSM that an information is wrong with a descriptive text might help mappers that know how to edit the maps to correct them.
Actually, I would love such a system. That's probably fairly easy to do. The native package manager may be used to do that... Keep us up to date, if you push the idea further !
Fuck the colors of the curve and fuck the guy that made them. Could he not find less color-blind friendly colors ? I know it is difficult to pick colors when there is too may curves, but common there are 5 here. black (0,0,0), red (255,0,0), blue(0,0,255), green(0,255,0), grey(128,128,128). That's five colors that are easy to distinguished by everybody.
Seriously, I can not see the difference between curve 1 and 5 and between curve 2 and 4. I know my eyes suck but that does not mean people should use difficult to see colors.
Damn, I didn't posted that for not being modded down to inferno. It looks like people kind of agree. I didn't expect people on slashdot to agree with that. Well, maybe your signature explain:)
Well, I like the repository debian-like (or whatever-like) version of that which basically states : "I, a debian developper, believes this application is safe". You can add more repository if you want but you acknowledge that they are not debian-signed by doing so. That won't protect everybody, but that definitively helps.
Well, I don't even recall something like that in NT branches of windows.

I am astounded by the claim that nearly three out of ten tweets actually do get any response.
lol

hat off.
PS: I frequently use scenarii which, I learnt recently, should not be used in english.
That's weird, It works for me. You might want to fill a bug report.

You could make a similar one where the geek put the fire on to see the girl take her bra off !
dude, I had mod points but could not decide between troll and insightful. So I chose to reply :)

You don't teach C++ programming, do you ?

well, ubuntu is the african word for "I am too stupid to configure debian"
We can do cryptography without relying on P!=NP. That's going to be longer to initialize but that would probably work.
That's basically what I say to all those saying "xml is great". Thank you for the laugh.
I am not sure what is the funnyest ? The post ? the fact it is modded insightful ? or the fact that it is right to mod it insightful ?

Same here. Thank you too!
(I know this post is very redundant and useless. But thanks are always welcome, aren't they ?)
but it is still free as in speech! :)
sir, you made my day. Thank you!
well, I don't even see how to put a gun in my router... Well I guess I could, but I don't see how it will stop remote hackers !
