  1. Nostalgia, Antic Magazine and the Atari 800 on The Good Old Days..... · · Score: 1

I have fond memories of the countless hours I spent poring over Antic trying to learn sprite graphics. I still have some of those old Antics, I wonder if they have any collector value

  2. Re:Well since I live in Utah this is a little prob on Utah About to Sign Library Filtering Law · · Score: 1

As an ex-Utahn, I submit that this must be viewed in context. Utah's obscenity standards are very simple: if it is not about the Mormon Church, or God, or geneology, it is obscene. When I lived there a video store owner was arrested for having cable "R" rated movies in stock. ARRESTED!. How is a society like this ever going to deal with unfiltered access? I further submit that access was probably filtered before the law was passed. Utah IS a seperate country, as far as state government is concerned.

  3. Big Surprise on Congress Still Figuring Out E-Mail · · Score: 1

The key phrase here is "non-constituent". Does anyone really believe that these weasels would EVER care about the views of someone who cannot vote for them? So vote! Maybe we can legalize knowledge.

I smell hoax, now that I've cooled off a bit. But then again, does'nt the bible say that the lawyers shall inherit the net?

Has the whole world gone insane or what? Maybe this is that Y2K apocalypse I keep hearing so much about.

  6. Gotta be RMS on Pick Your Own Net Person Of The Year · · Score: 1

Bezos, in my opinion, represents all that could go wrong down the road. I understand that commercialism must drive the net now, but this whole patent thing scares the bejesus out of me. RMS, on the other hand, represents what must be considered the good side, with Linus a close second.
