One school of thought would suggest that by not making a big deal out of it, the USA isn't putting out information to help others beat the system, etc.
Just a thought.
I've uploaded original videos privately to test them before, and then had the video flagged as duplicate when I uploaded it to post on a public account. But I've also seen that system beat by simply re-encoding the video.
It's good that YouTube is trying to get a handle on copyright infringement though.
Every time I've had a series of slow connections, I start to worry.
Not that I've ever downloaded anything over Bit Torrent that was copyrighted, of course!
