Seriously, I would like to see Hemos do it. Taco always gets the spotlight, and CowboyNeal always gets the poll option, what does Hemos get? The girl? Big deal.
That's true, but the internet has no impact on that freedom. Barring you access to internet has no more affect on your right to free speech than a publisher refusing to publish your book.
And considering that Microsoft makes $0.00 from their browser, I'm suprised they haven't open sourced it (under a sun-like restrictive license) just to jump on the bandwagon and try to appease the US Gov.
In comparision, Lars Ulrich seems meek when tells Hatch...
I've always felt that Metallica's "kill em all" attitude, shouting, and metal thrashing was just a cover. These guys are all probably a bunch of pansies in real life:)
It's simple, you root (and vote) for whoever fights for your causes, political party be dammed. If everyone did this instead of blindly pulling a party lever every elections, we would have a much better government.
I've seen dozens of stories around the whole "rising from the dead and voting" thing. Why are the dead always democrat? Don't republicians support dead rights? Is this a whole special interest group that republicians overlooked?
The idea that the FBI can scan E-mails as they enter or leave your ISP sounds scary at first, but what you have to remember is that you are not a criminal.
Sure that's how it starts, but I challange you to find a time in modern history where power DIDN'T corrupt. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when they begin to use this to go after political dissidents and anyone else they don't like.
I agree with you completly, unfortunatly I imagine most people either don't care if a company treats their customers like this, as long as it's not them, or they do care but will still purchase from the company if the price is right.
It's the new trend in business (especially high tech business), your customer is your enemy. Movie studios attacking customers for wanting to watch their movies, record labels attacking music fans, software companies attempting to gather as much info from their suckers...errr...customers as possible to make even more money from them, and nearly everyone attacking fan sites.
They finally figured out we are so sheepish that we will continue to pump money into them even if they mount a full offensive against us. Welcome to 00's consumerism, like it or get sued.
That is the excuse often used by companies who like to prosecute every chance they get for stuff like this, but would you want to take the risk?
With all the confusion about what you are allowed to say about companies (thanks, DMCA, I didn't want that first amendment) would you want to risk thousands of dollars (or yen, euros, etc. Wouldn't want to be called US-centric) that you probably don't have in the first place on the outside chance that you may break even?
I love vegetarians - some of my favorite foods are vegetarians.
:)
I'm not going to argue about this anymore, since I just finished a 20 oz steak and I'm tired (seriously)

He could learn from you, for example. You are REALLY fucking funny :)

Unless the government changes their mind. I'm just saying that it CAN happen.

Sure, no group has ever gone back on their word to not sell their databases.

It's only a matter of time before ICANN starts killing...

Yeah, but then you have to let all your friends drive your car and tinker with it.
:)
Finkployd
Not to interject, but you really have a problem with this guy, don't you?

I didn't think of that, that's why I was asking the question, dickweed.
I'm sorry I'm not elevated to your exaulted level of intellect, but that is no reason to be so damn offensive about it.
