C++/CLI is not allowed on WP7, because it can emit bytecode not supported there even in the simplest of operations. This was the case with Silverlight (which WP7 is based off of). Not sure if /clr:safe would fix that.

Yeah, no one wants to see such rinky dink films such as Star Wars, no one watched Family Guy (and similar), The Simpsons was cancelled midway through a season, Futurama only released a pilot episode, etc. etc. It's not like we're crying for the return of Firefly either. That's just Fox. Disney and Paramount have some big names too, like Star Trek for instance. Both have a pretty large collection of classic movies. A lot of their newer crap (all of these studios) sucks (e.g. Family Guy; I hate that shit), but they bring in viewers. Disney especially brings in kids.

I agree with the whole defending yourself thing; if someone breaks in, does not identify themself, and proceeds to trash the place, I just might have to act as though I'm getting robbed. If I were in charge, I'd use them only in situations where I expect possible deadly force or imminent harm, such as a hostage situation. I would never use them for routine searches of the houses of those who have been accused of non-violent offenses, offenses which most of the police force probably has committed at some point.

No knock raids are becoming more and more common, even for less serious offenses, and are dangerous for everyone involved. 13k apps is nice, but phone and app sales aren't all that great now. I was interested in XNA, so I paid the $99. I released a small app first, and it's seen ~300 downloads in a month or two. With ads, I make ~$2-1 per day. I'm hoping my game (when released) will make more, but MS has decided to rank all indie games after Xbox Live games from what I understand.

I could be #1 in sales of all apps everywhere but unless I have the Xbox Live mark, I'm automatically ranked lower, making it hard to find my game. Plus, there's currently no indie game tab. This kind of thing makes me not want to work with the platform, at least for games.
