  1. Re:Bigger star = faster orbit on Does Famous Exoplanet 'Fomalhaut b' Really Exist? · · Score: 1

Gravity is proportional to mass, not density. The density of a star doesn't really matter; if you are a distance away greater than the stars radius you will feel a force as if all the stars mass were concentrated at the center.

What the fuck? You can't justify being an asshole by voting for Barack Obama. Who cares how much you donated? There are plenty of wealthy successful asshole Democrats. Trust me, I am related to some of them.

And if it makes a difference to you,
I also voted for Barack Obama.

Scheme is my favorite programming language, and it wasn't even the first one I learned. Plus it supports multiple programming paradigms so you won't immediately be locked into one in the beginning as with Java or a c derivtive.

  7. Demos better for less hyped games? on Do Game Demos Have an Adverse Effect On Sales? · · Score: 1

I downloaded a demo for Warhawk, a game I had never heard of for ps3. To my suprise the demo had full multiplayer online and was a really good battlefield/flier, after playing the demo (on a single level) for a month and a half we bought the game and still play it all the time.

Perhaps demos offer a way for good games with no following to get their foot in the door.
