Any operating system that takes 2 hours (or more) to copy a 16 GB file is a piece of crap. The same hardware with XP takes a few minutes. I have SP1. Microsoft won't admit there is an issue. I have a long list of Vista deficiencies as compared to XP.
Vista costs me at least 2 hours a week. Like shitting a watermelon, only with Vista you get the added insult of being asked to pay for the privilege up front.
My various PHP4 to PHP5 transitions, on the other hand, have been fairly painless.
The difference is that PHP5 works great, whereas Vista is a steaming pile of crap. If Vista was any good, I'd be fine with MS killing XP. but it's not.
That article indicates a thrust of.5N That sounds awfully low to me. For comparison the force of Earth's gravity on a human being with a mass of 70 kg is approximately 687 N. (from Wikipedia)
did they mean.5kN?
Microsoft: No, you have to use this crappy, bloated new product.
Me: Seems like a good point to jump ship completely. Hello Mac Book Pro and Ubuntu Server.

Yes, but the engine they refer to uses 50kW. I don't see how 50kW translates into .5N

no. UV is 3 x 10^15, Microwaves are 3 x 10^9 Good article: http://chemed.chem.purdue.edu/genchem/topicreview/bp/ch23/radiation.php
I think you mean non-ionizing, don't you? microwaves are non-ionizing. UV, x-rays, etc. are ionizing.
