No, in French. Raphael is a French guy by the way, and I'm not even sure he understand German. From where did you see it was done in German first?

It would be nice to get them fixed before it's published.

Of course, I wanted to talk about the "Climate Change 2007 (AR4)" report. Just got confused with the release number and the year... Hoping that next time, they will use Ubuntu release scheme for numbering, it would be more easy!

When reading: "The Tizen application programming interfaces are based on HTML5 and other web standards, and we anticipate that the vast majority of Tizen application development will be based on these emerging standards.", just one word pops to my mind: what a tragedy...

What made maemo a so nice platform? Simple: it's support for Qt, GTK, Python, PulseAudio, and other standards we already have in Linux. There was no need to write new application, just a bit of redesign of the UI was enough (and in some rare case, not even needed). Yes, Qt and GTK are crap, and nothing beats what we had on the TOS/GEM in the Atari computers, but that's still a way better than the HML5 or AWT which is even more crappy.

Hello guys! HTML is there for DISPLAYING WEB PAGES, it's not meant for PROGRAMMING A GUI, there's a big difference here. I'm really disappointed by the Linux Foundation that is really missing something here. Instead, they should have supported the effort in Debian to have the missing phone applications (needed to make actual phone calls and receive SMS), which is the only missing brick to get out of this mobile OS hell.

Ever wonder why MySQL is still stuck with a single core taking 100% of your CPU, while other cores are idling doing nothing? MariaDB, and it's been more than a year it does, had multi-threading. If you didn't know, it's been written by one of the main authors of MySQL in the first place, that felt he shouldn't stay in this Oracle world. And he's doing very well, by himself... The good thing: MariaDB is ABI compatible. Yes, it's a pure replacement. Remove MySQL, install MariaDB instead, and there you go, you got a multi-threaded MySQL. I'm also running OpenWRT on it, and in fact, I bought the router just for that. I run with "extboot" mode, so that I can have the full of the GNU tools and many other services running on the router. It runs few services, like OpenVPN using the tap mode to my server, so that I can give IPv6 routing to my LAN (OpenVPN runs a small script custom that assigns a local IPv6 /64, then I also run a RADVd).

There's only very few issues I had. First, it started slowing down the transfer from WiFi n, after a very very long uptime. A quick reboot solved the issue. Also, WiFi n troughput isn't as great as expected (max is about 9 MB/s to one of the gigabit port, but really, I don't know what to expect, since this is my first WiFi n router and I have very few experience with n), and the range is quite poor too. But I believe the range issue is due to stupid antennas, and I am thinking about replacing them with better and bigger ones: my laptop shows a very good signal, but it seems that the issue is the router not receiving the signal well enough (which is a good sign that the antennas are crappy). All these are really minor issues when you think about it, and especially if you consider that if you want a router that is comparable to this one, the only one you will find is about 4 times the price (with 2 separate WiFi devices, and enough RAM and CPU power). FYI, I bought mine for 500 Yuan on taobao.com (that's roughly 80 USD).
