Oh, and I suppose we can all believe in fairies while we're at it, too? No thanks, buddy, some of us live in the real world.

The olympic games are nothing more than a glorified pissing contest. Or if you don't want to generalize so much, it's about who can horde the most athletes as "citizens" so that they can win their new country lots of shiny medals.

Didn't you RTFA? They don't carry plasma. They turn a gas into plasma then use it. Wait, you didn't have to RTFA to know that, you had to have read the post! lol...

And you obviously didn't read any of the posts, either. It isn't "purely electrically powered engine", it uses a gas as a "fuel mass". Could it be that this plasma you say they need to carry is also a "fuel mass"?

Hey, didn't you say that they have to carry a certain amount of plasma? The thing you suppose they "eventually run out" of? So tell me, Moby, why does a "purely electrically powered engine that required no fuel mass" need to carry plasma? You know, that stuff you said it will eventuall run out of?

Lol... Someone needs to stab whoever modded you up.

Why is everyone dodging the fact that this was a 13 year old girl? This is definitely the parents fault. As chiched as this may sound, they should have protected her from the "evil internet". I hate to say this, but either put an age restriction on a site/internet, or blame the fucking parents. Seriously, this is no one's fault but the parents! Geeze... They should have either protected her from it, sheltered her, or realized that something was wrong and intervened before it got serious.

Also, everyone is saying the same things over and over, just like the last time this topic came up on /..

Please, 98 had nothing on XP. At the time, to me, XP was like Windows 2000, with all the fancy admin features plus it had better support for games. But that's just me, everyone else probably has their own story about it. Either way, you sticking with 98"SE" for a "LONG" time before switching over to XP was a brainless thing to do, in retrospect. But at the time you would have been considered normal, because it was "totally in" to hate Microsoft's newest OS. Oh wait, the same thing is happening now...With Vista! Mark my words, one day we'll look back at this Vista-hating stage and call it brainless too.

Not to mention all the "just get by" type of people that don't really enjoy coding and just bum off their friends to get the work done. I mean if all you need to get your degree is a 50% average in all subjects, then what does that say about the type of people the university is sending out into the real world with bright, shiny CS degrees? It should definitely make people that worked their asses off, loved the challenges, and yearned to learn their work angry because their shiny degree means just as much as the next guys 50% effort? Ok, some people do graduate with distinctions and all that, but the point is still there...

Just because TFA is a "scam" or even just plain useless, doesn't mean we all shouldn't have a nice healthy (or unhealthy) discussion on what the introduction mentions. In fact, I think they definitely should keep this story up as this discussion is very interesting.

Everyone should vote yes/no on each bill they try to pass. A logistics nightmare maybe, but well worth the trouble if it gets bills like this thrown out by a murderous majority. Besides, this whole system of elected "Representatives" acting on behalf of the people is outdated and needs to be changed according to what society is now. The people should have a say in everything. Period.
