Are there any plans to open any locations in the USA, or preferably(for me anyways, considering I live in Canada and it'd be nice to have the ability to buy those kick ass computers locally;) in Canada? I heard some mumblings that there was a location in Toronto, but I can't seem to find any mention of it. The only problems with this is dealing with the issues of being an internation company at such a young stage, but I'm sure its something that can be easily overcome by multi-billion dollar company =) Also, are there any plans to sponsor events internationally?
The quake source code is still sufffiently advanced enough that they probably won't put it under the GPL. The GNU GPL still permits the sale of programs... We might just end up with another license for it too.
It would be a *real* long time before the quake source is that out of date.
G4 in this case means "Generation 4". Same goes for "G3". If you think of it, m68k = G1, PPC60x(a) was G2, and G3 = PPC750. PPC 750 is just IBM's internal own referencing. G4 in this case means the added features of altivec.
Actually, linux's sucess will depend on how convient it will be for users to use it, not how elegant it is.
Thats why the fax still exists, even though email is a more elegant solution. Being able to put in a piece of paper and hitting the green button is a far easier concept to teach than moving a mouse to the send button.
According to redhat, they upped the price to deal with the fact that pretty much well everyone who bought a boxed set wanted more technical support than what was previously offered.
Technical support is *very* expensive, especially when you have a high demand for it.
Microsoft, on the other hand, upped the price for either greed, and/or to make it seem like its a "better deal".
Just wait till microsoft moves to a per term licensing scheme like everyone else(ie, Sun, Compiler companies, etc)

Not possible. You're going to have to upgrade to our sketchy glibc2 that is more stable with less security holes.
They're the same chips.

Phht. Again? Didn't you do this once before?
*wave* good luck raster. Somehow I knew corp. culture isn't something that could change you =)
Later.
