Just because some woman's organization thinks the only reason some women want to look under the bonnet is to add washer fluid doesn't mean females want to trek their car into a mechanic to check their oil or change a fuse (my fuse box is under the bonnet!).
Women gripe about how mechanics always treat them badly and try to take advantage of them anyway - why enable that by making a car that you can't check out, even if you wanted to?
I would consider paying for a service like this if they acted as a "repeater" for other radio station signals - it would be neat to listen to a radio station on the opposite side of the country, and there's got to be at least one station that I'll like listening to at any given time.
The last thing we need is for IBM, HP, and other corporate "sponsors" of Linux to decide that they're tired of giving and giving - drivers for their hardware, research labs, etc. - and being unappreciated. We can't forget that we're dealing with large corporations with established business plans. Linux fits into those business plans -- they're not doing it out of the goodness of their collective hearts, as much as the grassroots Linux movement would like to believe.
Is forcing the software patent issue now really the brightest thing to do? Do we want to publicly spit on the contributions these hardware and software corporations have made thus far, and negate the chances of any future goodwill gestures?
What Hemos and CowboyNeal didn't think about -- by posting the beta test invitation on/. they've created potential beta-test-invitation competitors, thereby lessening their own chances of being selected for the beta test.
Why is it a common assumption that an intelligent woman MUST be pissed off if someone makes a comment about lesbians or setting Xena on fire? Doesn't anyone have a sense of humor anymore?

I've seen an AIX command prompt on their machines at the kitchen-remodel department. Looked like a 43p-ish type machine.
Prozzak is an entirely animated group as well. There is no Simon or Milo.

If you work for the government, they'll take your fingerprints. I temped for the IRS during tax season and it was a job requirement.

Nobody suggested using *good* beer. There's plenty of bad beer that deserves burnin'.

Yep, the L is for Linux.
