It takes a single quote from a review about a particular company's book/app -- it's not a statement in the Book Review's voice. Of course the interviewee wants to make "programmers" look bad - it makes his work look better by comparison. Not that it isn't amazing by any standards, but...

You've released some (all?) of your music under the CC-BY-NC license. What are some of the coolest things you've seen done by other people with your songs?
Without the spoiler, I would venture to guess that despite being given all the clues, around 80% of the audience would fall to one of the many misdirections and identify the wrong actor as the killer.
Heck, when I did it, my daughter thought it was me until the ultimate reveal.:-)
Be warned -- JWASM's Wikipedia article was nominated for deletion, as it was thought that notability was not sufficiently asserted. The flame war there might spill over here as well.:-(
I have a TV, I just don't have the money to pay the cable bill right now, and I don't particularly want to pay for an antenna that's just going to be uselessly taking up room after I restore service.
(Besides, it's nice not being able to park in front of the TV all prime time anymore.:-) )
I think I saw it suggested elsewhere on/. that you should have someone else encrypt your proprietary data and email you the key _after_ you go through customs.
Remember, though, that scalability is not always an issue: simplicity can be a good thing. If you're looking for an accounting and ordering system for your two-computer business, taking the time to install and maintain a server instead of a few files could be a deal-breaker.
(2) A condition described in this paragraph is a condition that--
(A) so hinders the execution of the laws of a State or possession, as applicable, and of the United States within that State or possession, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State or possession are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or
(B) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.
We're all geeks, so we know what "OR" means. He can send in the troops for a violation of any federal law he chooses. I'd really like to get this resolved before the troops have to choose whether to obey an illegal order or not...
I wonder why Larry Sanger could possibly have an interest in making WP look problematic.

It's the only CD I ever owned where I could hear the engineers turning the mikes down in the middle, because it had just gotten Way Too Loud. :-)

Oops, that was me. Reposting.
No, but you can remove pictures you don't want on the ribbon.

"12 months a year, every day of the school year"?
*waits expectantly*
Has anyone implemented Go in Go yet?
HPL FTW. :-)
Somebody nominated Khan Noonien Singh for deletion -- a year later, it was a Featured Article. :-)
Should be instructive to compare the number of grey hairs now and in 8 years. With this shot, you actually can count them...
Ah, good, someone got it. :-)
No, you don't want a Beowulf forest, because then you have to worry about Grendel showing up.

And there's always thumb drives...
Probably.
Is anyone else having Real Genius flashbacks at this point?
I'm surprised nobody above me mentioned it -- in the subject at least. That game is way too damned addictive...
And it got worse, when they released the Multiplayer version at http://www.casualcollective.com/.
Clinton was impeached by the House, but not convicted by the Senate.
But The Hedgehog Can Never Be Buggered At All!
I'd love to give it a try, but it requires a login for download, and there's no "Forgot your password?" option.
(And yes, I have a whole bunch of other email addresses I could use. That's not the point.)
